Change Management remove 'finished projects' from selection list

Hi experts,

 

Is there a way to hide all our completed projects in our selection menu from Change Management.

 

for example in the screenshot below: project 10MR1 is completed (all Q-gates are set to 'passed', and the status of the project is set from 'new' to 'finished, 100%')

 

I hoped our list would become smaller, but all projects are still shown. We also know we can use filters but we would like to have a proper way to achieve this.

SLM 7.1 system monitoring CPU metric collection ; erratic , irregular

Hello SAP,

 

We are running SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SPS6, HP-UX Superdome  ia64 11.31, Oracle 11.2

We have configured the System Monitoring feature two years ago, and since then I can definitely not say that this feature is reliable,

especially when it comes to monitor our hardware resources (CPU Utilization)

 

The CPU metrics are collected, we do not have any error message, the configuration has been checked by sap support.

The problem is that the monitoring is irregular , inconstant. CPU metric sops suddently being colelcted for hours,days, and then it restarts, without any reasons

I have opened several sap customer messages and I have been asked to :

Update the Saposcol: COLL 22.10 720 - V3.1.0 2013-06-20 HP-U

Update the Saphostagent

Update the CR Content in SLD

Apply the latest SP6 sap notes ....

 

None of this never solve anything ... I find it very difficult to explain to my Managers that SLM 7.1 is  a modern and reliable monitoring tool

 

I was wondering if anyone is facing/faced the same problem ?

Inactive status for messages in expert mode

Message Search is not displaying Data

Hi All,

 

We configured the PI Monitoring for our PI system in Solution manager system 7.1. The central message search is not displaying any data. Below is the error

"Central Message Search is not supported with the release of the PI runtime components of PI Domain domain.00.XYZ."

Are there any documents provide by SAP that explain in detail the BPMon Key figures in Solman 7.1 system?

The Out of Box Key Figures in BpMon in 7.1 system is extensive.The available help for the key figures do not have much information in it eg: its purpose, how the KPI should be used, when should it be used, benefits etc.

Does SAP provide any documents that explain how each Key Figure works and if there are any best practices(documents) on how to use them?

IBase Preparation error in SolMan Basic Configuration - sps10

I've just finished updating our SolMan 7.1 system from sps8 to sps10 and am now running through the various post-update activities in SOLMAN_SETUP.  In Basic Configuration, step 7 (Maintain Systems in IBase), the automatic activity IBase Preparation is failing with a warning which does not allow me to proceed to the following activities.  In particular, the messages are:

  • The Ibase component 00000000000000168 has deviceid: QP1 xxxxxxxxxx
  • Sort string is needed!
  • System could not be found in LMDB nor in SMSY!

 

QP1 is an obsolete system that we deleted some time ago, so I wouldn't actually expect to find it in LMDB.  However, obviously this component 168 that is related to it still exists in IBase and is causing problems.

 

I can run AI_CRM_ANALYZE_IBASE_SORTF in SE38 and get the same messages (this is the program that the IBase Preparation step actually runs).  I tried running AI_CRM_DEL_NOT_USED_IBASE_COMP to delete the component, but it fails to find it, nor anything related to QP1.  AI_CRM_PRODUCT_DELETE and AI_CRM_OBJECT_DELETE also do not find it.

 

I tried AI_CRM_IBASE_CONSISTENCY from Note 1933019, and while that showed a lot of yellow lights for other things, it had nothing at all for QP1.

 

I'm at a loss for where to go looking for this ghost data and how to clean it up and proceed, so I'll be grateful for any pointers that lead to a resolution.

Incident Management - First Reaction

Hi,

 

I am facing an issue in Incident Management where 'First Reaction' is not getting populated.

 

When status of Incident changes from 'New' to 'In Process', 'First Reaction' Date & Time should appear in 'Service Level Agreement' Assignment block. But this is not happening.

 

Can anybody tell me is it a bug OR some missing configuration.

Categorization in result list of incident

Hi!

I have Solution Manager 7.1

Appearance of Categorization 1,2, ect .. in result list of incidents or in
excel export… do not seem correct if it’s values contains dashes or commas.

To see examples of issue please log in in russian language and please see
screen shots bellow. Please, how doI fix this?

In categorization 1,2,3,4 the values are contained which is used for incident analysis:

These categorizations are downloaded to report and exported to Excel.

     The issue: for those values of Category fields which contain such signs as hyphen «-» or comma «,» the value is shifted to the next Category field.

 

 

For example:

 

  • On the picture below the marked service contains comma and hyphen

  • And downloaded to the report (Search result) in the form of:

  • This report (Search result) exported to Excel by pushing the button «Export…». In Excel the view is also incorrect:

Custom Status for incident in the solman_workcenter

Hi,

We have created a custom status for the incident management, but when we go  to the Incident management overview we are not seeing this status in the "Reported By Me" , "For Processing by Me", "Processing by my team". Any additional configurations need to be done to get this?

ABAP queue check failed Error, While generating stack

I am getting a ABAP queue check failed error, while generating the STACK file for UI5 and FIORI (Attached).

 

Here are the system details:

 

ERP 6.0 EHP5

Hi,

I'm upgrading a Solution Manager 7.1 SP07 to SP10. Now, the installation process of tool SUM is at this point:

Hello All,

 

We are getiing JAVA EWA report in grey colour after upgrading solution manager 7.0 to 7.1 SP07. Please help me to resolve this issue.

 

 

Note: Abap EWA report is working fine

If its dual stack , ABAP is working fine but java data is missing.

Solution Directory - Duplicate Nodes

Hello Solman Experts,

 

Need your expert advice.

 

We had 2 back to back projects that used the same business process (sub-process) and steps(tasks). There were new document types and test cases added.

 

However, now, we see the node for the business process is being duplicated under the solution directory. I see 2 nodes with the same description in solman_directory but each with different content - one from first project, the other from the second project.

 

Can you please advise on how to prevent this in future and how to fix this? We need all the nodes, config etc, to roll back into the same node in solution directory, to help sustainment team.

RFC ERROR

Hi all,

 

we are facing issue in managed system configuration 3rd step( RFC CONNECTION) in SOLMAN 7.1. We can able to establish a RFC connection between SOLMAN TO  PI DEV,QAS systems. But we cant in PRD systems. we can able to establish connection test & auth test!!!!!!!

 

 

Following solution we have worked out, all went in vain

1) gw/acl_mode parameter changed

2) S_RFCACL authorization provided to user.

3) User having SAP_ALLL

 

Please help me on this. share your valuable suggestion to resolve this issue.

ITSM - User Status Configuration

Hi all,

 

I'm trying to configure our incident and problem transaction types to use our defined status values.

 

I've added the user statuses in through the IMG, and when I go to save, I get the following message:

 

Diagnosis

You specified in the procedure control of status CONF and status CANC that both statuses be replaced by the procedure 'Close'. Both statuses have a status number.

System Response

When the procedure 'Close' runs, the System will try to set statuses CONF and CANC. They cannot be active at the same time because they both have status numbers so the entry is rejected.

Procedure

  • Delete one of the two statuses
         or
  • give only one of the statuses a status number
         or
  • change the procedure control.

 

Now, we need to use both of these statuses so I'd like to change the procdeure control. I'm just not sure where to do that. Any thoughts?

Prevent sending mail to associated ticket on status change - Solman 7.1

Hello Sap Solution Manager Experts,

 

Actually, i have linked a ticket having number 8000001050 to the primary ticket 8000001156 as per the print screen.

However when modifying or changing the status of the primary ticket that is the message 8000001156, two emails of status change are being sent currently. In other words, one email for status change for the ticket 8000001156 (which is normal) and one email for the status change for the ticket 8000001050 (which i don't want).

 

Can you guide me of the steps to follow to meet this requirement?

 

In addition, i don't want the ticket 8000001050 to be modified.

What is right version to Content version SAP_CR 2.0 in SLD

Dear,

 

I tried to import the latest version of CIM and CR into SLD.

Yet, it doesn't work.

 

Model Version: 1.6.37

SAP CR Content Version (sld/new): SAP_CR 2.0

 

Namespace     Model Version

sld/active          1.6.21

sld/new             1.6.37

 

I created a new namespace, sld/new.

I've read note 669669 carefully and I did everything the note said.

I also downloaded the latest version of CIM and CR from Service Market Place and tried to import them.

Yet, I failed.

Could anyone please help me to fix this issue?

Solution manager patching from 7.1 sp06 to 7.1 sp10

Hello all,

 

We are currently running solution manager 7.1sp06 with CHARM, system monitoring,CTS+ fully configured. We have around 50 satellite systems including ABAP,ABAP+JAVA and JAVA.

 

Now we are planning to upgrade it to SP10 , can you please help me on how to start planning this as we bit unsure what impact the patching will have on the existing functionalities

ChaRM No link to maintenance cycle

Hi,

 

I have created one Urgent change & TR also got created. Transport Request is also released now.

 

Now I am facing issue 'No link to maintenance cycle'. I checked the issue & ChaRM project was not consistent. Now I made the ChaRM project consistent. But still I am facing 'No link to maintenance cycle' issue even after Recheck action.

 

On this urgent CD I get two actions 'Recheck Urgent Change' & 'Withdraw'. Current status of this Urgent CD is 'In Development'.

 

As a workaround I created one more Urgent change by extending scope & taken ahead this new Urgent change to Pre-prod & Production.

 

Now I want to withdraw old Urgenct Change which is having issue 'No link to maintenance cycle'. I can't withdraw this Urgenct change as Transport Request in this urgent change is released. Either I am not able to proceed as I am not getting next action 'Pass Urgent Change to Test'.

 

How can I close OR withdraw this Urgent Change, I am stuck both ways.

 

Any ways to close or withdraw this Urgent Change.
