PIMON issue - my favorite topic

Hi, all

 

We have updated solman 7.1 to SP10 recently. Now we are having issues with the message alerts. When I fail a message in PI 7.3.1 EHP1(Java stack only), I don't see any alert or email notification. Here is the config for the alert in solman with notification turned on:

For PIMON on PI, here is the associated alert rule config:

I have done the "activate monitoring and alerting" in the end. Now if I fail a message either in PI or ECC(via sxmb_moni), I don't see any alert.

I went to the extraction framework and all PI jobs against systems DPI(PI) and SD7(ECC) are "green". Here's the screenshot:

Please advise. Actually I don't see anything in PIMON capable of monitoring the SXMB_MONI in the business system(ECC in our case). Are we supposed to configure it somewhere else for ECC?

How to monitor sxmb_moni in the ABAP systems(business system)?

Hi, all

 

We are running on solman 7.1 SP10. I didn't see any monitor on the ABAP business systems that allow us to monitor the sxmb_moni. Note that a PI message can run successfully in PI but fail in ECC. But it seems to me that the PIMON only can monitor messages in PI, not the abap business systems. In the old world, we used to develop a custom monitor that monitors table SXMSPMAST. However, I suppose SAP has come up with something better in the new solman PIMON which they are beating the drum on? Please share if you are aware of such a monitor.

Problems with transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER

Dears,

I have been configuring ITSM, when came across an issue with ZDIT tkt´s.

Within transaction solman_workcenter all ZLFN tkt´s regardless the user who owns / is working the tkt the counter works perfectly fine (The new ticket is created and the counter for the matching status raises in n+1 as it should be).

However, when working within operation ZDIT, at the time of creating a new tkt, it only shows the category for treatment, but the counter would not raise in n+1, meaning that the counter will remain at 0.

Also, when clicking the “NEW” link the system will show all the messages included, for which I presume that it´s feeding from the base properly, regardless this action the counter will remain at 0.

This issue happens only for the tks status of ZDIT´s tks created under column “Processing by my team”, for tkts under colum “Processing by user” the counters work  just fine.

If you look at the image you will find that all labels add up to 1000 tkt´s and the counters stopped adding new tkt´s when reached that number.

I don´t believe that this issue would lay at a system structure level (PPOMA). I think that the issue  is related to the counter on the resume page for transaction solman_workcenter Incident management.

Could you please  indicate if there is any note that would correct the counter´s issue?

Hi,

 

We are facing a problem when we sync our customers from SAP support portal, basically we run the job REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT and the log shows:

I think that we made all the configuration inclusive AISUSER mapping, populated V_AISAPCUSTNOS but no name displayed for all of our customers, only ourselves and one:

Anyone got the same problem? Or have a tip to resolve this issue?

I can´t find a report with configuration documents on Link tab

Hello gurus,

 

 

I put all my configuration documents in the follow way:

 

    T-code SOLAR02 ==> Select the process  ==> Go to Configuration tab ==> Mark the line with "IMG Object" ==> Go to "Attributes" button and my configuration documents is on "Link" tab.

 

 

 

Now I need a report with all this documents , but I can´t find anywhere. I looked all SOLAR_EVAL t-code, but still didn´t find.

 

 

 

Any ideia where can I find a report with all my documents?

Dear Experts,

 

I monitor IDocs using BPMon of SolMan 7.1 SP08 in background mode.

But I want to change to directly read, not background.

 

I tried to uncheck "Data Collection in Background", but it cannot be done.

CSOL not activating

Hello Experts,

 

 

We are trying to activate CSOL in Solman dev system for Dev-Managed system

 

but its not getting acitvate.

After double click on Inactivate -> changer Cross-System Object-lock -> Yes, but still showing inactive.

 

Plesae help into this. how to activate.

Sm 7.1. - IT Servicemanagement Performance Tuning

Hello experts,

 

we are using IT Servicemanagement of Solution Manager 7.1 SP 8.

 

This is based on WebUI.

 

But the performance is not very good.

Only at opening an incident/change request you get the Loading-Circle.

Or if you select en entrie from a drop-down menu also the loading-circle.

 

 

Does someone know some performance-tuning-guides for this?

 

We are not facing any server-problem (no memory issue, no cpu issue, ...)

Integration ChaRM (SMCR) with JSM

Hi ,

 

While reading about Integrating JSM with ChaRM, i find that we have to follow attached screenshot steps to confirm Integration.

 

But in those steps, it says I have to copy SDCR_Actions_job_Request profile.

 

But I ma using Solman 7.1 and SMCR for Request for Change.

 

There is no such action like SMCR_Actions_job_Request.

 

So, what should I copy ?? Can please anyone help here.

 

and also what should I map in Subject ?? as there is also IMG path to map Subject in screenshot.

BPM - confirm alert email link not working

Hi all.  We are working on getting BPM set up and would like to have our users be able to confirm alerts from the alert email whenever possible.  Once again some differences between our dev and prod solution manager systems seem to be causing problems.

 

The link works fine on our dev system, but on our prod system we get a web page displaying "Alert confirmation could not be triggered". Looking through the code in Confirm_alerts_rz20, it looks to me as if the system cannot lock the dswp_bpm_alerts table to set the confirm indicator.  I can't see anything in logs/lock tables that would cause the lock to fail.  When we go directly to the Alert Inbox, the alert confirms with no problems.

 

Anyone else come across this at all?

" Parsing Empty Source Error " In SolMan SLD Log

Hi Everyone,

 

We have Solution Manager 7.1 SP 05  ( NW 7.02 SP10 ) and while setting up SUP 2.2 monitoring setup we have repeatedly following error at SolMan SLD Logs ;

SLD PayLoad generated at SUP side is accurate as per verification of SAP ;

We have also verified applicable pre-requisites as SUP Monitoring Set Up resources on SMP alongwith SUP Entry in SAP BC application server

and content management section of SolMan SLD;

SLD ping is successful and we do see SUP Host entry in the list of  Automatic Data Supplier Entry on Solution Manager - only issue is sw comp. version and sw component details i.e. SCC, SUP Unwired Server, SUP Cache DB, SUP Mon DB and its version do not reflect at LMDB side.

 

Core Issue :

Eventhough SUP Payload is accurate / not corrupted ..it does not supply the SUP 2.2 SW Ver. Component Details etc. to SolMan ..i.e.

we do not see any SUP data at LMDB ; we have verified SLD Communication User at SUP's SCC ( SLD config ) has enough authorizations

as well.

 

even after increasing Trace level we don't see any error message in traces to pin point the root cause.We have only one SLD at Solution Manager so, we don't see any scope of  authorization or other error related to ' Bridge Forwarding ' as it would be in case of Local / Master SLD scenario.

Best way to control several development team of the software.

Hi,

 

We are doing the plan to configure the ChaRM, (Solution Manager7.1, SP8).

And we want to use CSOL, DGP and Critical Objects.

We have two teams of the development, one for support and small changes, and other for new features.

And both can to worh with urgent changes sometimes.

 

 

Our main goals are:

 

- reduce the number of the documents of the trasnport request ;

- manage of the conflict of the maintenance in parallel projects;

 

I would like to know, is it better has two Project with type  "maintenance", one for each team development ? Or, is it better create one Project with type "maintenance" for the urgent changes or small changes, and one Project with type like "implemetation" for new feature in development?

Problem in assigning logical component to solution in solman 7.1

Hi All,

 

We have created a Z product and created Z logical component under this product in SMSY. This logical component appears in SMSY under System Group and logical components. When i try to add the this particular logical component to the solution, I am not able to find the logical component/product in the list of logical component solution "Logical compoent per product".

 

Please help me to add the custom created logical component which was created under a new product in Solution

Mass Update Service Desk Tickets

we have 5 different statuses:

 

New

User Testing

Consulting WIP

On Hold

and Closed

 

i have the list of tickets i would like to update all of there statuses to Closed

 

any suggestions?

How to adjust alert time or data collection time in BPMon IMIDOC01?

Dear experts,

 

I monitor IDocs in ERP system using BPMon(IMIDOC01) of SolMan 7.1 SP04 with ST-A/PI 01Q_700 SP01.

The monitoring is working correctly, but alert time is delayed in comparison with data collection time.

 

The following case, alert time is 10 min behind data collection time.

Please let me know how to adjust the alert time or data collection time.
