I have a problem in my solution manager. I am using solution manager 7.1 sp10. I configured SLD and then LMDB. it fetch all the servers from landscape.
now the problem is one of the ABAP servers is not showing in SLD if i go to http://<hostname>:port/sld
i tried to setup local sld and then lmdb but abap server is not showing in sld.
is there any way to fetch abap server automatically again in sld?

I heard that there is a possibility to Implement Time tracking or Time registration in SAP Solution manager. Is there a user guide how to implement this or custom coding is needed here?
we would like to use it not only for SAP stuff, but as a main time tracking tool for our company.

The current version of Solman Server is 4.0 . Now We are planning to do Solman installation 7.1 BY SCRAPING the older version of Solman server 4.0 . Before scrapping the older version of Solman server 4.0 , We have the requirement to save the Project Documents.
NOTE: Our solman server 4.0 is not a PRoduction System.
But our requirement is we need to save the project Documents in the Solman server of 4.0.
Clarifications:
1) How can we able to take the backup of project documents in Solman Server?
2) Is it fine if we take the backup of trans Directory (/usr/sap) and after installtion of Solman Server7.1 , is it possible to export the trans directory ?
3) If we plan to export the trans directory, the support patch level must be the same/identical in Solman server 7.1 as it was maintained in SolmanServer 4.0?
4) DO we need to maintain the same patch level for exporting the Backup of trans directory after the installation of Solman Server 7.1?
5) what must be the patch level to be maintained in the installation of Solman Server 7.1 for the exporting the trans directory?
Kindly advice and assist me on this.

I'm working with 2 separate 7.1 SP10 systems where I have the very same issue including the very same workaround but I was wondering if any of you have come across this and found the solution. I have gone through various iBase related posts, Snotes and blogs but non have solved my issues (i.e. Rachel's iBase blog, Dolores' FAQ and multiple other discussions but not luck so far).
I have one upgraded 7.1 SP10 and the other one is a fresh installation. I have gone through SOLMAN_SETUP and SPRO steps and copied ChaRM related transaction types to Z*s. I have simulation system landscape and a logical component to match that and they are working well for urgent and normal changes (both the standards and my copies).
Problem:
on document to my RfC (SMCR or ZMCR), iBase component is not assigned automatically. I can use one of the workarounds to proceed with the transaction types:
1) Select the empty (or "0" value if technical names are on) row and allow the system to fetch the component (brings up production system iBase component) and then choose ZMAD or SMAD from the list.
2) Use iBase component search => without search criteria, the search result contains every system I have in my logical component including dev and test.
3) Use Configuration item search. Result the same as in workaround 2.
Have any of you come across this?
I promise poinst for anyone who can point me to the right direction!

We are implementing Solution Manager SP10, we have client 100 which contain the most of our configuration, Can we have another client for training purposes, let’s say 700 ?
Does there any Cross-Client configuration? I mean from System Preparation, Basic Configuration, Managed System Configuration prospective ?
Does Client 700 make any conflict with the 100 ?

How can we have approval of 2 CAB member inside single SMCR (Request for change).
In the Approval Tab there should be two different CCB member and after approval from both the members only Status can be changed to 'Being implemented' and then Change document gets created.

I have newly impllemented ChaRM between Solman and DEV ERP systems.
[ChaRM in Solman 7.1 SP10 verions]
And follwed the RKT [Request for change] to create my first incident of ChaRM as below.
Incident creation is ok,
Request for Change to validation is ok[Autmatically status changed to Validation]
Request for approval is ok [Autmatically status changed to To be approved]
Change manger Approval is ok [Autmatically status changed to approved]
Release for Development is ok [Autmatically status changed to Being Implemented]
Change document was creaged with diffent Docuemnt ID.
My requirement is I need to extend the scope and make it urgent change.
Under-> Scope=> Insert button => Urgent change is not visible.
please let us know how to resolve this bug?

Unfortunately I got a bit stuck in the Managed System config on Solution Manager 7.1 sp10.
When trying to setup managed system in the 3rd tab, you can define the Connect managed system and than have the clients shown for creating the RFCs.
For client 000 al went well but after for 001 I put in the same as on 000 and saved now when I try to test the RFC it gives me the error as attached.
When checking the ABAP system I see SOLMAN_ADMIN deletes RFC destination A6C2CF8BA5641ED3A1E8889F09AC6155 where the last part often is different
Any idea what happened and how to solve this? 001 is my solman client for use

I am working on SAP Solution Manager 7.1
I´m trying to get, if its possible, an authorization object or similar behaviour to enable/disable user status of a transaction (SMIN, SMRQ) depending on the partner function logged. Its like authorization object CRM_ORD_OP for business transactions but in this case to select user status
For example, if i am creating a transaction SMIN, i would like to enable status “Forwarded”, but if i am the Message Processor i could set user status to “Customer Action” and “Proposed Solution”, but not to “Forwarded”.
The problem comes when the same user can create and process a business transaction. If its logged as reporter/requester he could see status “Forwarded” and if he is logged as Mesage Processor he could see “Customer Action” and “Proposed Solution”, but as he has assigned all PFCG roles, he can see all user status defined for all roles that have been assigned regardless of the partner function of the user logged.

1) Which transaction is better to use from Migration SOLAR_MIGRATION or SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN, i want to migrate multiple project with each and every project structure and all documents within all tabs of particular project.
2) Which transaction has feature to transport multiple project in single TR
4) Is Transport Reqest the only option for migration???

my SCS Message server is affected by SAP note:

no P4 listed:
and I can't install Diagnostic Agent onto my managed system - get error durning installation:
STEP 3: checking P4 Connection
P4 Connection to SMD Server failed
there are no access points for service: P4 registered on the message server
How can I solve this issue while this SAP note gives me no direct solution.

we recently configure sap solman7.1 , we upgrade the kernal and sp levels to 10.now we start the solman_setup, iam confusing regording the solman_setup.my questions are, we will use the solman system only for support pack levels in my ehp5 system for this we have to configure the

1. what are sttings i have to do in solman before run the solman_setup
2.how to add the systems for sld ? and we we type http://hostname:50000, broweser shows the sld screnn, so can i add my system in that?
3how to onfigure sld and lmdb and how to add the systems.what are jobs we have to run before this and what are softwares i have to add for this

i would need to enable the downgrade protection in solution manager 7.1 for the version check control , hence i would need inputs on how to proceed.
Since with the present configuration i find it does not work for workbench requests at all and also when i work with customizing requests , it shows up cross system object lock error with entries of objects which have already been imported to production. Could some one guide on this issue.

Test for SDCC_OSS Destination is:
RFC destination SDCC_OSS is functional (ping and logon authorization check done)
RFC destination SDCC_OSS has authorization for all needed function groups

I have a problem that Microsoft have now rolled IE11 out for standard users, which then gives problems when they try to log into my solution manager system via IE11.
I have now installed it as well and cannot get more information than "You are calling this web site with a browser that is not supported".
Errror message SWDP_UR_NW7001
I can of course not control that my users do not install IE11 as it is released for the public.
I have searched for the error message via Google, SCN and SAP Market place, without finding anything.

How to close the Incident automatically after any particular status in a limited time duration.
For Ex.
If a status of the incident is 'solution Provided' and Customer is not closing the Incident then how the incident will get closed automatically after 7 day of status 'Solution Provided'.
Is there any report which can help me close the incident after 7 days.

We have implemented Document Management and recently had done SP 10 upgrade.
But, after SP 10 Upgrade, Status Schema column is not visible in Project Templates in Solar_Project_Admin.
Attached, is screenshot of that column before Upgrade.
Can you please let me know, how will I restore that column ?? Are there any config settings for that ?
Hi, I'm trying to configure a project template in solution manager 7.1 using "SAP Rapid Deployment Solution - Business All in one (MX) V2" package (in solution package selection tab into scope tab into solar_project_admin transaction).
When I go to SOLAR01 or SOLAR02 transaction I can see business scenarios according to selected package in solar_project_Admin transaction, my question here is: how can I reduce the business processes that SOLAR01 and SOLAR02 shows me?
I found a how to document that explains how to connect /n/smb/bbi transaction in my ERP system and TRANSFER the solution created in that transaction to my solution manager system. Does this mean that my solution created in ERP should be reflected in solar_project_admin transaction and used in SOLAR01/SOLAR02 ?
i.e. I created a solution in ERP with /smb/bbi transaction called "building blocks for enterprise #1" I would like that the solution appears in my solution manager and using SOLAR01/SOLAR02 I will only see the bussiness scenarios I chosen
