XI unable to access SLD

Hi experts,

 

In the managed system (ABAP), the Solman User (SM_<solman_sid>) is getting the following log message:

 

XI unable to access SLD: "Unable_to_determine_SLD_access_data"

 

SL XI5

____________________________________________________

XI unable to access SLD: "&A"

In the function module LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM, the attempt to read XI data from the System Landscape Directory has failed. If the data is still in the local cache, XI can continue to use it.

Check whether the System Landscape Directory is operational and whether the communication connection is configured correctly. For more information, see the SAP Exchange Infrastructure installation and configuration guide.

 

I found this note, but it is not released.

Solution manager 7.1 SP10 upgrade stuck in phase SHADOW_IMPORT_INC

Hi,

 

I am trying to patch a Solution Manager fresh installation to SP10.

 

The installation seems to be stuck in phase SHADOW_IMPORT_INC

 

I can't find any errors in the logs and there is alomost no CPU activity on the server.

 

It's a Windows/Oracle installation.

 

I have already reste the pahse and the full patchnig but still the same.

 

The stuck seems not to appear each time at the same level of completion inside the phase.

 

Any idea ?

 

Anybodu has the same problem ?

Creating Custom MTE in CCMS for Solution Manager Technical Monitoring and Alerts

Hi all,

 

I have a question around the creation of some custom metrics for Technical Monitoring. Now I know HOW to create the custom metrics from the MTE's within the standard templates from CCMS, but I want to create some custom built MTE's within CCMS to actually allow me to create those custom metrics within Techmon.

 

The issue we have is that there is a need for a alert on the top 50 tables, and the current growth they are experiencing. Obviously the top 50 tables will change according to what growth spurts they are going through, thus it needs to be either a Virtual or Rule based MTE.

 

The big question however is do you know of any MTE I can specifically use to pull in the top 50 tables say per/day or any such like that? We would very much like to set some thresholds to alert if some table space is about to run out of space.

LMDB Resync error after upgrade EHP5 to EHP7

Hi All ,

  I am currently using SOLMAN 7.1 SPS4. I am getting an error when I Resync ERP system in T-code LMDB .

the SOLMAN see ERP systems on EHP5 not EHP7 . I want to see all systems after upgrade to calculate the (business packages \ ABAP Add-on ) for ESS\MSS  .

CA Introscope Enterprise Manager issue in Solman Basic Configuration

When I am doing basic configuration in solution manger 7.1. I am facing a issue like below:

In Configure CA Introscope, Import Existing Installation is not getting active.

Can anybody please help to solve the issue.

Solution manager 7.1 for Non-SAP ASE DB monitoring

Dear All,

 

We are trying to setup solution manager 7.1 on windows for SAP Sybase ASE monitoring and alerting. We have successfully installed,configured and setup technical monitoring for Solution manager system as well as remote NW system running on SAP Sybase ASE. But while setting up NON SAP Sybase ASE database as a Managed object , we are facing issue. We have installed a DA and Host agent on the remote machine which is Windows server having ASE running as a standalone db instance on it. We have already performed the outside discovery. We could see the hostname under "Managed system configuration --> Host" and also we can see the DA is connected. Even we have setup Host monitoring. But when we try to configure the DB using "Managed System Configuration -->Database" , we can't see the DB name to select for configuration. Even checked in LMDB for "Database Systems" and can't see the name there too. Does anybody have any experience in  setting up non-SAP ASE for monitoring using SAP Solution manager ? Any idea why is the DA not pushing DB details to SLD/LMDB of solman?

which RFC SDK does I need to connect Nagios to the SAP CCMS of SOLMAN

Dear Ladies and gentleman,

 

I want to connect Nagios with the SAP CCMS of the Solution Manager. According to some documentations it is a RFC SDK needed t connect Nagios with the SAP system. On the SAP Service Marketplace only the SAP NW RFC SDK 7.20 is available. Where can I get RFC SDK 7.20 ? Is this the right RFC SDK to connect Nagios with the SAP CCMS of the Solution Manager ?

Transport Through Part of the Landscape with ChaRM

Hello Experts,

 

I am trying to determine a best practice in regards to moving security roles partially through the landscape with ChaRM.  In a scenario where we want to only deploy security roles part way through the landscape due to the requirement to have different security on a lower test system than on production, for example.  What is the best way to only transport a change part way through.

 

We have a development project, consolidation project, maintenance development, maintenance consolidation and production.  We may want to stop the transports at consolidation project or maintenance consolidation, without a whole lot of manual intervention, is there a standard solution out there?

Table E2EEM_GEN_CTX very large

I see in my solution manager system the table E2EEM_GEN_CTX is getting really large. In Se11, it says it is a table for exception management. I could not find any information related to this in any site, SCN or SAP Marketplace. Would anyone know what this is used for and how can we clean it up.

 

strange thing is that is has over 3 million records and the size is over 41GB compressed. I will also open a message but in case someone has faced this before.

Personalize button missing for saved search

Hi,

 

Before I write an OSS message:

Saved searches from the worklist do not have a personalize option. If I go to my worklist I can change the way the list is displayed and I have all options available however when I save the search and then select it, the options are missing.

 

The weird thing is, saved searches from other options, like ChaRM Change documents do not behave in this peculiar way.

 

As a work around is there a way to change the default value of list display?

Default is paging and we prefer scrolling.

Unit of Measure in STWB_WORK

Dear All,

 

  I need some help on fixing a bug or error when I use the transaction stwb_work. When I change the status on the trafic light i go into another window where I need to fill in the test effort in hours or minutes..... but the drop down box is empty when I use the Portuguese version. In the english version it works fine but in Portuguese it is missing the values and I am unable to select either hours or minutes. It appears that the entries for the measurements are missing in a table of some sort.

 

  I send the screenshot for your perusal logged in the Portuguese version. How can I update the information? or fix this issue?

DVM GSS Perform Analysis Step Error

Hi Experts,

 

I am running DVM GSS in Solution Manager 7.1 SP08 and my data collection jobs finished successfully now when i am tring the perform analysis it shows me warning "Session needs manual activities in the next step" and when i am clicking manual on perform analysis link i am getting a dump which i am attaching to this question. please help me how i can move to next step.

The data of Task Log Book in Central System Administration

Hi All,

 

I'm writing a report to summarize the checking work in CSA. I need to access the data of task log book.

However, I only found the table DSMOPAPPL_CSATSK which have the setting and last check status.

Does anyone know the table which contains the data of task log book?

EWA Reports for PCOE Audit

Hi Again,

 

How can I make know SAP that I have configured EWA reports for BO and JAVA systems?

 

I've configured EWA configuration in my Solution Manager 7.1 for both ABAP and JAVA/BO systems, and no problem with these ewa reports.

We have a PCOE Audit and We must configure more than %85 of systems that we sold the license. A auditor sends us the RC and EWA list for these systems.

 

But despite the EWA configuration is okey, BO and EWA system's EWA situation seems NO in that list.

 

How can I make know SAP that I have configured EWA reports for BO and JAVA systems? What do you suggest me to do?

Changing Workflow of Request for Change (SMCR) possible?

When I Change the workflow of Request of Change ( to add one more status in between New and In Validation ) then after approval from CAB the change document is not getting created.

 

Is it not possible to change the workflow of Request For change ( Cant we add some more status in between )?

Old Transaction Types in SOLMAN 7.1

Dear ALL,

 

We Upgraded to Solman 7.1 .. We want to use the old Transaction Types (SDCR , SDHF and SDAD) .. is it possible to use with Solman 7.1 ...

 

can we use the existing project and Maintainance CYCLE or we have to create the new one.

 

What will happen to transport requets.

 

our plan is to use new transaction types after 6 months.

Custom Dashboard in Solman

I want to create a custom dashboard in solman, of the file system details of all the monitored systems through technical monitoring

 

I see that Xcelsius BO tool can be used to create custom dashboards in solman. Is there any other way of creating these custom dashboards.

cCTS for ChaRM

Hello Experts,

 

We have upgraded to SP10 and on the way to implement ChaRM with cCTS. We are trying to map the clusters to our landscape.

We have a dual track landscape which is as below for production support:

Now how many clusters do we need to have for support?

This is answered by the "how to guide" as 7 and also we understand two different projects are required (this is coved in page 43 & 44 of how to doc.).

 

Can any one give more clarity on how to connect between the two projects as per page 44 in "how to guide", for the above landscape ?

 

And we also have a project track (orange box) which follows route of DEV - QAS - PPD - PRD and as part of cutover we have to update maintenance track with the project changes using ChaRM so how to go about this?

 

Need experts support.

ChaRM SMMJ - how to - Action RELEASE_ALL without queue import transfer

Hi Gurus.

We are using Charm normal correction SMMJ, our client needs to be able to release the original transport orders without leaving this orders in the transport queue, then in the next status transfer this OT´s to the QUEUE for further transport via SCMA.

 

Scenario:  TOC´s already transported to QAS and tested, the user set action “TEST OK” so the ticket go to next status “waiting for SP Approval” the original orders are released and transferred to the import QUEUE using the standard action “RELEASE_ALL” (Releases transport requests in the development system).

What we need is to split this standard “release_all” action in two, the first should only release the transport and the second should transfer the released orders to the import queue..

 

What do you think, is it possible ???  or the import queue transfer is something that you can´t manage…
