packaging the TR's from solution manager

hi all

 

we have unique requirement from my project.

 

we are working on roll out project and using template project and derived implementation for each country. there are lot of RICEFW needs to be moved from one landscape to another landscape.  ( completely in different data centers )

 

we have provided RICEFW TR's ( as data and co files ) to the implementing team. but as for the security requirements they can't import the data and co files into their landscape . they are looking for a packaged solution.

 

is there way to package the TR's from solution manager and deploy like a packaged solution as provided by sap ?

I've recently upgraded Oracle 10g to 12c on AIX 6.1 and have noticed a strange error in the Agent Logs.

The key error is "RAM.DBTypeForSAP.ORA.SystemHome.myhost" When I run

 

/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saphostctrl -function ListDatabases

 

It lists a Database that doesn't exist in the old Oracle Home!

I do not know why this is showing, this wasn't there and isn't there in UAT which has yet to be upgraded.

MS Project Download Project 2013

Hello,

 

We want to use the "MS Project Download" functionality from e.g. Solar02 in SolMan 7.1.

There's only the option to export the data as *.MPX. This file format is not compatible with MS Project 2013 and thus we cannot use this data for our purposes.

 

Is there any possibility (patch, config, ...) to get the data in a Project 2013 compatible filetype?

If not, how do you or would you handle this problem?

Auto Incident for Technical Monitoring

Hello Experts,

 

We have enabled Solution Manager System Monitoring in Solution Manager 7.1 system and also activated the ITSM for creating auto Incidents for Alerts and it is working fine.

 

But we have one more Solution Manager System which is on version 7.0 and is used for ticketing purpose like(Change Management, Incident Management), Is there any where in we can have auto incidents created in our old Solution Manager 7.0 version system for any alerts that get created in Solution Manager 7.1 for system monitoring.

 

Please provide your suggestion and expert guidance.

Error in LMDB Landscape Verification - Service is unavailable

In Solution Manager 7.1 (SP 10) I am suddenly getting the the following err:

 

     Service is unavailable.  Pls use Maintenance Planer to do verification

The message occurs when attempting to perform a Verification Check on any Product System regardless if is ABAP or Java, and has one or multiple Technical systems within it.

 

Has this service been disabled, or have I managed to shoot myself in the foot?

MOPZ/Maintenance Planner - Only unicode kernel options offered

In Maintenance Optimizer (Solman 7.1 sp10) (also in Maintenance Planner), I am planning maintenance for a Stack upgrade to our ECC systems.

 

The current systems are

 

     ECC 6.0 Ehp7 Stack 7 using Non-Unicode Kernel 7.42 sp 200

 

The desired target is

 

     ECC 6.0 Ehp7 Stack 9 using the current 7.42 or 7.5 Non-Unicode Kernel.

 

I understand that an upgrade to Ehp8 would incur a unicode migration.  Management has determined that a unicode migration will be delayed to coincide with a upgrade to HANA starting in 2017.  In the meantime, management desires to apply the minimum maintenance required to meet the prerequisite requirements for year-end HR support packs.

 

Not to my problem.  When I use either MOPZ or Maintenance Planner to create a maintenance transaction, the only kernel options offered are unicode.

Is this in err, and is there anything I can do to influence the choices presented.

 

Also, are there implications to selecting no kernel file, and manually upgrading the kernel outside of the SUM process.

Is there a report to manually unlock incident that was locked through the WebUI?

Good day:

 

We know that in the RfC or in the Problem there is an assignment block Related Incidents which has buttons to lock/unlock related incidents.

Does anyone know if there is a program that could unlock the incidents from an RfC different than through the WebUI?

 

We have an issue as the assignment block above is no longer active in Production, and we urgently need to unlock some incidents that were locked prior that assignment block was removed from the Business Roles.

Early watch Alerts wrong report

Hello Experts,

 

We have configured EWA reports in our Project, It was working fine till last month. For our ECC production system we are now getting wrong report. The report is having our Production system SID but report inside contains different system details(It is having our Production clone details) can anyone help us to analyse where the setting might have changed for this changes in reports.

 

I have checked the system assigned in Logical Component, Solution assigned, Technical System. I don't find any issue there and it is having Production system details only. Please help!

Dear All,

 

I have an issue with SOA manager web service , when i was trying to test few services it says ICF Error when receiving the response: ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED")

 

initial analysis

 

no issues with firewall

 

icm/host_name_full entry has maintained in instance profile

 

SICF -> F8 -> menu Client -> Proxy settings -> deactivate checkbox "Proxy settings is active").

Database extractor setup error in Managed system configuration

Hello All,

 

when i try to execute database extractor setup for managed system configuration it has errored. My solution manager is on 7.1 SP14 with sybase 16.02 and my managed system is on EHP7 with sybase 16.02.

 

I already applied below notes on Solution Manager,

1946165, 875986, 1291055, 1558958,2059750, 1605169 and 1946164

 

also applied below notes on managed system

1668882, 1882376 and 2043277

 

but still unable to fix the error. attached are the error screenshots. Also, everything is in green at Managed system's DBA Cockpit repair tool - screen attached.

 

can someone please help me on this.

Hi,

 

I've successfully installed and configured SAProuter and create SNC sertificate,

When I'm trying to run SAProuter it gives me this error:

Hello community,

 

I am trying to configure a Managed System (Technical Monitoring) in SOLMAN 7.1 SP12 and unfortunately I am not able to set a template to the hosts of this system.

 

I am able to monitor SAP and DB, but not the hosts.

 

In LMDB I can see the type of OS in the Host, but SOLMAN_SETUP does not allow me to choose one of the templates, as in the printscreen attached to this post.

 

SLD also has the right OS information.

 

Is there a configuration I need to check? Any note or KBA related?

Soution Manager 7.1 ITSM overview issue.

Hello,

 

  we have migrated our solution manager from 7.0 to 7.1. The issue is the users now are unable to see anything on their ITSM screen when accessed through SM_WORKCENTER. The overview says "you have no messages". The roles of the users remain the same. The profile regeneration was done but that dint help.

We are VAR Support and one of our customer have 3 S-USER in the same Company to open message in our SolMan, but one of them is Admin and he should have access to all opened message of company but this is not happening, even having SUPPDESK_PROCESS role assigned.

  What are all the limitation in technical monitoring . Can SAP Solman agent monitoring the status of Hardware failure  i.e SAN error , network error , CPU fan error like that all related to hardware only.
