Solman upgrade 7.1 error

Hi,

 

I'm currently running a Solman upgrade from 7.01 to 7.1 on a system running on windows 2008 and SQL server 2008. Yesterday evening the trans. log partition was full so SUM gave me a DB connection error and I stopped the SUM.

 

I added storage but when I started SUM again gave me this error:

There is no active task list in the assigned project

Hi All,

 

I did few changes to the action profile to add few additional status to my urgent change. I copied the standard action profile SMHFHEAD and created z one and added the status and actions.

Now i am facing issue while setting the status in UC as 'In Development'. System is throwing the error as "There is no active task list in the assigned project". In Urgent Change Project cycle field is coming as blank. Can you please suggest what might be the issue.


I was able to set the status as In Development yesterday and its working fine, please suggest.

Time frame as search criteria in worklist

Hi, experts.
I am facing the following issue:

when searching for service requests through IT Service Managenent -> Service Requests, it is possible to set the time frame as the search criteria.

When doing it through worklist, however, this search criteria is not available and it is not possible to add it through customizing.

Is there an other way of doing it that may be requires some coding? And is there a way to set a default value to it?

Best way to use single Composite Script across multiple system clients(Target Systems) e.g. RegressionTest, ReleaseTest?

Hi All,

 

Requirement:-

I want to execute same composite script across different system clients(Target System) with different data.

 

We are using CBTA quite extensively and have already automated quite a large number of end to end test scripts.

Our system landscape for release is as follow-

 

Dev system-->Regression Test system (RT01)-->Release Test System (RX01)-->Production

 

We have developed all our CBTA scripts on "RT01" and now we want to use all of them for "RX01" executions also.

Test Data for "RT01" and "RX01" are different.

 

How to use same scripts across multiple clients with different test data?

 

Solution 1:-

So we have created two variats "RT01" and "RX01" which have respective test data for each scripts.

 

For example below mentioned are variants for one script->

For individual script execution, i can change the variant and "Target System" and "Variant" in "Start Option" window and I can use same script on multiple clients.

 

  • Issue-> But there is an issue with this approach. If I want to execute in batch there will be a problem.

                    When I want to execute through test plan, while test plan creation I can select the "Target system" at test plan level and not the variant.

                    I didn't find any option where I can select test cases for test plan creation based on Variants.


If anyone has used same scripts for multiple system clients having different test data through Test Plan, please share your view. 

 

Workaround:-

I already know the work around for this. I can create copies of same composite script for each system client with each having unique variant.

But this will cause duplication of scripts and will result into lot of scripts for each system Client.

Also effort to duplicate, maintain will be too much.

Unable to add java stack system in Solution Manager - Error No Software component versions assigned

Hi All,

 

While adding java stack system in Solution Manager system getting below error.

 

Error in SMSY:

 

Database server missing

No software component versions assigned

Software Component Vector is empty for SID

 

Due to this unable to calculate the stack.

 

Please advice.

business server page (bsp) error

Charm - Change Request -> Normal Change (Follow Up not possible)

Hi experts,

 

I am customizing Normal Change function, to be able to use TMS of Solman.

If I want to make a follow up transaction from Change Request to Normal Change, I don't get the transaction type listed in the popup after clicking on follow up button.

 

I've checked the customizing and there the setup is fine.

If I set it up, to make a follow up from Change Request to Incident it works, but from Change Request to Normal Change not.

Does anybody have an idea what might be the reason for this?

Agent on the fly not picking the virtual hosts

Hi,

 

I have installed a NW 7.5 ABAP system in the virtual host. In this case Virtual DB instance name and the host name of the system are same. I have installed the DAA without mentioning the host name.When I tried configuring the Agent on the fly for DAA assignment to this virtual hosts, it picks the DB host name but not displaying the other 2 virtual host ( Central instance & PAS) . Can any one please hep me, thanks.

Sap solman server MMC services Issues

Hi Expert,

 

we are trying to run SGEN for load balancing and object generating for SolMan server, but it has no progress since last Four days so it require Database manager to clear the log generated while SGEN process.


Running but Dialog Queue is standstill . Kindly help for the same.

CCLM Vs CDMC

Hi Experts,

 

Need an advice regarding choice of tools for performing clearing analysis.

 

We have two options i.e. CDMC and CCLM for performing clearing analysis. I have got couple of questions regarding it.

 

What is the right tool to go for?

Is it that we use CDMC for SM 7.0 and CCLM for SM 7.1?

Is there any advantage of CCLM over CDMC?

Does CCLM use solution manager to store the analysis data compared to use of analysis system(generally quality) in CDMC?

 

Appreciate expert comments in advance.

CDMC Analysis Span

Hi Experts,

 

Got a query regarding the span of CDMC analysis.

 

As I understand, CDMC collects the data in analysis system which is based on ST03. The time span for ST03 is generally 3 months.

 

Question - Is CDMC a continuous process i.e. does it keep on collecting the data in analysis system post these 3 months? Or it it a one time activity of analyzing ST03 data and perform the clearing analysis?

 

In the later case of one time activity, the clearing analysis results may not be practical as many programs will run yearly or quarterly.

 

In short can CDMC collect the data for the duration greater than what is defined in ST03N? If I keep the CDMC jobs for 12 months (not ST03N), will it collect the data for 12 months or only 3 months(assuming ST03N keeps 3 months data)?

 

Looking for expert insights.

Unable to upload a document in solman programatically without browsing the file

Hi Experts ,

 

I am facing an issue . My requirement is to upload a document into SOLAR02 in a particular project eg ZTEST through a program but without browsing the file from desktop. When I execute the program SA01PHIO and SACONT01  get updated but finally cannot find the document in SOLAR02 in ZTEST project or  through SOLAR_EVAL so not sure whether the program is really working or not . 

 

Logic that I developed is attached in the file  below. I have the data of the desktop file in binary format so I used function module  SDOK_LOIO_CREATE , SDOK_PHIO_CREATE and SA_KW_RFC_PHIO_STORE_CONTENT.

 

In the document attached code is provided . Please help me to find out what is the issue so that I can find the document in SOLAR02

Repair CR Content

I am currently busy repairing the CR content which is  inconsistent between SLD and LMDB using program RLMDB_SAP_CR_REPAIR_LMDB on the foreground.Every time when i check the status of the job is cancelled.

Which Diagnostics version  do we need to install?

-   Standard Diagnoctics Agent on each cluster node (with logical Name/without logical name)

-  Agent on the fly (with or without Logical/physical name)

ChaRm Multilevel Categorization

Hello Experts:

 

I am having an issue with the "category" aspect of change tickets.

 

From past experience and research, I was able to configure a Development SolMan system, I added a managed system to it as well in an effort to configure ChaRm as a single managed system. I was able to have it working currently, as a proof of concept.

 

But, a major issues is categorization. It doesn't seem to be working, it is grayed out:

bgRFC Monitoring via SolMan Issue

Hi,


Current Situation - we have configured ICMON as shown below, which is for bgRFC. Everything is working properly, as per configuration.2016-03-08 16_20_12-Clipboard_1.jpg

Requirement: We need to raise alerts once there are erroneous units.

 

The default threshold for metric “Total number of erroneous units” is “Info Only”

With the requirement above, we need to change the threshold to a numeric threshold. We did this, and then activated the interface channel

This is where the issue happens. The change above breaks the metric. You can see in the screenshot below that the metric group is gone.

While doing our managed system configuration we received this error message. But we found, that we already have majority of these components installed. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this?

BW Proces chain Monitoring Configuration not working

Hello All

 

We have configured all the necessary steps and under Technical monitoring-->BI Monitoring have setup the BW Process chain monitoring.

 

As per the guides, we have defined the scope and selected our BW system and proceeded with Process Chain Monitoring, under which we gave around 5 Process chains to be monitored and given all the necessary details and activated the Monitoring.

 

The Monitoring was activated and shown green status, But when we check the alerts in Technical Monitoring work center-->Job & BI Monitoring work center,the monitoring Scenarios is present without any details under it. It just has an entry with the system and Monitoring scenario and when selected for BW Procees chain Monitor, It has neither red,green nor grey alerts for the scenario.

 

Can anyone help us fix the issue.
