I would like to know if there is an option to deactivate old business partners that we use for Incident Management or ChaRM. I could see posts related to "deletion" of business partners but my requirement is not to delete but only to deactivate.

Hi All,
We are installing SolMan 7.1 on SAP HANA as the whole site is HANA, however we are experiencing massive performance issues on the system. We are seeing long sequential reads on the tables even with solman_setup. Has anyone else seen this and have any ideas?

I just setup a new SAP Landscape for a new client.
A new solman 7.1 is installed and now I want to install saprouter so I can download all the necessary notes when I do solman_setup.
But I am very confused on how to setup a sap router.
My first confusion is this. There are two versions of saprouters 7.21 and 7.42 I can use either of them? as well as the same for sapcrypto lib.. which one I have to use? Does saprouter version have to be based on anything? If not why are there two versions available and also the last update for both of the versions are on the same date. Tks for your inputs.

I have installed a new Java system in our landscape. Now I am going through the pain for adding it
to our Solution Manager. Like all the other systems - we have 2 hosts - an App server and a DB server.
We are using physical and virtual hostnames. The SAP systems are using the virtual hostnames.
Some time ago, we had an SAP consultant here, who advised to install the diagnostics agents without
a hostname and this has been working very well - UNTIL NOW!
So, I have installed the Diagnostics agent once by just launching sapinst, it didn't work, then I tried once
more by launching sapinst SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=<virtual_hostname> and then in both cases
I was deleting the hostname at the first dialog in the course of the installation.
So, no matter what I do - In step 3 of the managed system setup - Assign Diagnostics Agent - I don't
get the opportunity to assign the correct agents !! I have also tried the Auto Assign button, which had
been working before - it gives the following error message:
No available Diagnostics Agent found for assignment to <virtual_hostname>.
This is starting to be REALLY annoying, please kindly help me !!

I have installed a new Java system. During the course of adding it correctly the our Solution Manager, I did a verification check in LMDB and it failed miserably:
1. Why is it complaining about LM SLD ? I have it installed !!
2. About LSOCP - when I select Proposal for Unassigned Software Components, I am getting SAP LEARN SOLN W/COMMUNITY
1.0 (add-on), but it is already assigned, so I don't get it what is the point ?
Even when I try to select it, I am getting the following error message:
Product instances of the technical system are supplied automatically

We are experiencing errors in the SAP Host Agent log after we updated LM-SERVICE to SP14 patch 1.
We are seeing this error for all systems :-
Ambiguous ORACLE_SID: mismatch between instance name argument ('$DBMS_INSTANCE$ ') and ORACLE_SID
Does anyone have any idea what's causing it and how I can stop this as the log is growing rapidly as a result?
Where is the $DBMS_INSTANCE$ variable coming from and what is the value?

Hi,
Has anyone yet bumped into documentation about how-to migrate content from Solman 7.1 system to *another* Solman 7.2 system? I have a customer case where I will install (well, planning to install at this point) completely new Solman 7.2 system and later selectively migrate content from two or three separate Solman 7.1 systems, consolidating these older systems to one new Solman 7.2 system.
For the sake of clarity, I'm not talking about merely migrating the solution documentation within Solman system from old version to new version, but also transferring the content from one system to another system, much like is described in this SAP guide (which describes the same, but for older case where the content is transferred from 7.0 to 7.1).
Any insight of the topic would be greatly appreciated.

I have activated the technical monitoring in sap solution manager, including the critical profile checker for sap_all
This is great. But I would like to see and set my alert to only report on dialog users not system users .
I see in the result list the type user is populated, but I would like to only get a alert once a sap_all is found on a dialog user.
I have tried all , but could not manage.

We have defined a field as "Approver" using UI object ID HEADER_FCT_10. I have tried many combinations of Control Classes (including a "Z" class) Control Methods and debugging (using DO-ENDOs and SM50) and I cannot get custom field referenced using UI element HEADER_FCT_10. In debug, I can see PROJECT_ID and SCOPE, the only other 2 UI elements we currently are controlling. Is there any special configuration for a user define UI element?
After pressing F2 on the ChaRM screen for the "Approver" field.
