SNMP trap integration with third Party

Hi All,

 

We are on Solman 7.1 SP12. I have configured Solman to integrate with third party CA ticketing tool via SNMP traps.

Since Solman is connected to all UAT, Acceptance and Development  systems. How can I configure to send SNMP traps to a UAT environment of the third party CA ticketing tool system for alerts raised in the Non prod environments in parallel to production traps send to production CA ticketing tool.


I have referenced the config guide "HOW-TO GUIDE SNMP Trap Adapter.pdf"

Business Partner Determination - determination of multiple partners (using AND in access sequence?)

Dears

 

I'm using Business Partner Determination to populate business partners on Change Documents in CHARM.

 

I was wondering if it's possible to determine multiple partners by combining access sequences. As far as I've seen, the system always goes through the access sequences in sequence order so as below:

 

Access sequence with nr 10

Access sequence with nr 20

Access sequence with nr 30


When a business partner is found, the system assign the business partner and it stops there so behavior looks like this:


Access sequence with nr 10 --> didn't find anything

Access sequence with nr 20 --> found a business partner according to access sequence

Access sequence with nr 30 --> not performed anymore because nr 20 found a business partner


The behavior I would like is the following:


Access sequence with nr 10 --> didn't find anything

Access sequence with nr 20 --> found a business partner according to access sequence 20

Access sequence with nr 30 --> found another business partner according to access sequence 30 so I'll add this also to the partner assignment


Does anyone know if this can be achieved without coding it in?

SNMP Autoreaction was not found

Hi Guys,

 

I am a BW person and I have been assigned a task of creating a scenario in Solman Production for setting up Solman alerts for BW Process Chains.

 

As I am doing this for the first time, when I try to create setting for duration alerts (or any other alert) for an individual step of a PC already added earlier, I am facing an error message 'SNMP Autoreaction was not found' (An exception has occurred) in logs.

 

Solution Manager version is 7.1.

 

Can anyone please address my issue and help me with useful suggestions? Any helpful links are also greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Document is being distributed - changes are not possible

Hi All,

 

In solution manger Support messages when we try to change message status we are getting this message.

Document is being distributed - changes are not possible.

present status is Escalated to level 2. and component is SD.(find the attachment of screen shot).

 

pleas help us to fix this issue.

1.How we can change the Component in CD.

2.If It is possible to change the component in CD and it will reflected in RFC Scope assignment block

Error in incident (Guided)

Hi Expert,

 

We are using Solution Manager 7.1,SP 10.

When creating an 'incident (guided)' the following error message is displayed.

There is no functionality affected. This seems cosmetic ONLY.

When we click the next button,then no error.

 

Observation:

- Issue occurs only if no Category 4 is available to select and If we create the incident without guided process it will fine.

 

WHY????

SUM Phase MAIN_NEWBAS/TABIM_UPG

Hello everyone.

 

I am running the update Solution Manager 7.1 for the SUM(SP15) of Support Support Stack 03 to 14.

 

I´m in the step "Executing" of the SUM process. The ABAP phase without errors, I´m on progress the JAVA phase.

 

When I'm run the phase in the MAIN_NEWBAS / TABIM_UPG, the process is apparently stopped for the credentials J2ee_admin and SMD accounts the error logs show me:

How to include incident category in message overview (STWB_INFO)?

I want to include the category of the incident in the message overview (STWB_INFO). However, this field is not included in the column set.

User-Role for displaying incidents

Hi,

 

we are trying to create a role that allows our users to view onlytheir incidents.

The user should only be able to log on and view all his incidents (and later confirm his tests).

We used the role "SAP_SUPPDESK_DISPLAY", copied it to "ZSAP_SUPPDESK_DISPLAY" and tried to change it as in it's current form, the user can see all incidents, not only his own.

We thought it might be the object "PARTN_FCTT" but it seems to make no difference what value we use there.

 

Does anybody have an idea what might be the correct authorization object?

Defaulting few fields in SolMan

All,

 

I have following 2 requirements.

 

1) Pre-populate Reported by on the Incident Page based on the user id of the creater.

 

2) Populate Support Team on the Incident Create Page. Currently, the Support Team is getting populated when Dispatch Button is hit before SAVE. In our case, we want to hide the Dispatch button and when the user clicks on SAVE, call Dispatch Button in the backend resulting in population of Support Team. Or if there is a better way to do it.

 

Also, since I am new to this..not sure where the code changes should be done.

Performance Data: Minute Values

We need to activate collecting performance data from the CCMS monitoring infrastructure every minute in Solution Manager. SAP Documentation tells: "Note that InfoCubes 0CCMMIN1 and 0CCMMIN2 are only filled with values if you choose a retention period of at least a day in the IT Performance Reporting set-up for the Minute/Quarter-Hourly Values".

 

I cannot find the place were I can to do IT Performance Reporting set-up in Solution Manager 7.1 SP12.

Solution Manger 7.1 SUM Upgrade Error

Dear Experts,

 

During SolMan Upgrade 7.1 from SP10 to SP14, I am struck with the error in Preprocessing step "phase MAIN_SHDRUN/START_SHDI_FIRST! " (see attached screenshot).

 

I tried to start the shadow instances services from the windows server. But, I get the error message "Windows coud not start the SAPSID_04 service on local computer. Error 1069: The service did not start due to a logon failure."

 

Any ideas, please?

Duplicate entries for one system in LMDB - SLD is fine

HI all,

 

I'm facing a problem concerning duplicate entries (SID and SID00001)i n LMDB for a system after its move from one host to another in comination with an update to SW components.

 

While SLD recogniced system move and updated the name of the system (SID and hostname) from the old one to the new one, a seconde entry was beeing created in LMDB. SAP recommends to delete both technical systems from LMDB, re-create the new one and re-sync system data from SLD.

Unfortunatelly this is only possible if the 'old' system isn't in use. As the system is already in use for e. g. technical monitoring, DVM, proactive monitoring, test management, mopz, EWA  a.s.o, this is NO OPTION. Whne removing a system from LMDB all links to solutions are beeing deleted, which guides to data loss.

 

My first idea is, to

- create a dedicated product system for new technical system

- create a dedicated logical componeten for technical system and product system

- replace logcial component in all relevant solutions in solman_directory and test management

- remove old logical component, product system and technical system.

 

but ... will this work without data loss?

 

 

Second idea:

editing LMDB data, but I don't know internel structure of LMDB

 

 

Note 1694004 - Dealing with duplicate technical system names (SIDs) describes the issue, but last sentence says:

 

In rare cases, the renamed system may have received a new extended system ID in the LMDB. After a thorough check, the desired ID can be assigned to the system in the LMDB UI by renaming the property "Extended System ID".

 

Which checks have to be done. What will happen in LMDB and SMSY intenal, when I do so?

 

 

 

Has anybody of you knowledge, how to deal with this problem.

Dear Gurus,

 

We want to watch SAP systems on our SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP13. We should receive email or notification if any SAP systems is closed or database is closed or something.

 

Which Solution Manager features should be activated and configured for this requirement ?
