Interface Channel Monitoring Idoc monitoring alert details

Hello,

 

Can you please advise how I would be able to setup an Idoc monitoring via Interface Channel monitoring to either include the exact details of the failed idocs in the alert notification mail itself( like idoc number, created time, etc.) or if that's not possible, some kind of link to WE02 or similar transaction in the target system which would also get parameterized with the failed idocs so the recipient does not need to specifically search for the idocs? I'm able to send a generic transaction link in the custom description, but i'd like to show the exact details for the users.

Auto trigger of attachment on status change

Hello Folks,

 

I have the following requirement.

 

In a normal change, on change to a particular status, say(Set to In Development) the action behind 'Add Attachment' button must be triggered and the attachment uploaded has to be reflected in the 'Attachments' section.

 

Is there a way to get this done.

Incorporate SM's CTS+ capabilities into 3rd party tools

Hello Experts,

 

Can you advice on the below query.

 

Is it possible for a 3rd party tool that provides continuous delivery for non-SAP systems to incorporate CTS+ of Solution manager so that the 3rd party tool can also provide continuous delivery for SAP systems.

 

Are there any interfaces available that can connect Solution manager with 3rd party tools like the one I just described.

Any idea/suggestion would be appreciated.

Available master data for Solution Manager 7.1 (blueprint generator / RBPD)

Hi there-

 

I am trying to find out which master data lists can be used in Solution Manager 7.1. I apologize if I am miss using some of the terms but let me explain a bit more of what I need:

 

I understand that RBPD has content for FICO/HR - but is there content for FSCD?

 

Does the automatic blueprint generator have the master data as well or does it need to be downloaded like RBPD content? Does automatic blueprint generator have all the possible content for FICO/HR and FSCD?

Performance issue in Solution manager - SAP Work process increase /decrease in SM50

Hello All,

 

System is not generating any memory dump but accessing the system is taking very long time.

 

Currrently we are in Solution manager 7.1 SPS11.

Os - AIX 7.1 and Oracle 11.2.0.4.6

 

Please find the below screenshot and let us know if we need to increase the Dialog/Backround work process in the system.

When I create incidents do not fill Service Employee Group and shows the following error:

I went to CRMD_ORDER transaction and it shows error too.

I clicked on Item 1 "INVESTIGATION" and go to Partner, in there I can fill the missing data, but its supposed to be filled automatically.

 

WIthout error

We register around of 200 daily messages, and fill all those messages manually is very stressful and take a lot of time.

 

Anybody can help me in this issue?

Custom Code Management

Hello everyone!!!!

 

I am trying to configure  CCM using solman(SS1) for R/3 system(RS1).During configuration process i do have some errors.Could someone help me out.

 

1) In the step 6.2 i am unable to activate SQLM extractor(error:SQLM extractor template does not exist). Rest of the extractors(CC Gen,CC Ref,UPL,CCLM,CC Similarity,ATC) are activated Successfully.

 

2)How to check activated extractors are functioning good?

 

3)In the step 7.2 SM_CCL:LUSG_XX_XXXX and SM_CCL_QUAL_XX_XXXX Jobs failed(Error: SM_CCL:LUSG_XX_XXXX was aborted ) same error with QUAL.

From  the job log reason for job failure for QUAL  is "No Data found in Custom Objects InfoCube (0SM_ATC) for system XXX"  and for LUSG is " No Data found in Custom Objects InfoCube (0SM_UPL) for system XXX".

 

4)In the step 8.4 even though i scheduled the job "SM:AGS_CC_BUSI_CRIT_XXX" it is still showing Gray symbol instead of green.

 

5)  From my knowledge we need to configure ATC on RS1. if that rite,what would be the values in "master system". and how to cross check ATC configuration is successful.

 

Actually all ATC,CCLM,SQLM,UPL cubes are active on my SS1 system.

Project Import not changing the status of urgent correction

Hello Experts,

 

SM 7.1 SP13 - using only urgent correction with SAP0

 

When I move urgent corrections to production system using project import from task list, it does not change the status to "Imported into Production" which is next status after "Authorized for Production". Is this normal behavior? If I use CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT to change the status manually, will it re-import my transports in production?


Related question - if I use CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT instead of project import, does it import in the order of import buffer or in the order of change document I enter on parameter screen of the report?


I will really appreciate some help.

CTS+ support for non-SAP systems

Hello All,

 

CTS+ provides transport capabilities for SAP Netweaver AS ABAP systems and also for non-ABAP systems such as Java based systems like SAP Enterprise Portal.

 

So I can infer that CTS+ supports only SAP's own products. Is it possible to use CTS+ for non-SAP products.

Are there any interfaces to connect CTS+ of Solution manager to non-SAP systems and have same transport capabilities of CTS+ to these non-SAP systems.

System Recommendations with wrong notes?

Hi Experts,

 

we have a Solman 7.1SPS13 on DB2. We want to plan and collect informations about Security patches with System Recommendations in Change Management from SolMan 7.1.

 

We checked a ERP System with DB2 also, but in the list of notes, there are also notes for Oracle and MSSQL ?!?!

Is it right? Should the tool only show relevant notes only for this system? Is this a bug?

bypass the warning message

hi all,

 

Currently we are facing issue while replaying the CBTA script.As when we are creating the Sales order we might encounter many warning messages(not error messages).Sometimes no warning message will generate while recording but when reply if we encounter any warning the CBTA script fails.is there any way to avaiod this kind of warning message and pass the script.

 

For example:while recording the Sales order I give the date as 'today's date' and recording will be successful but when I replay next day there will be an warning message 'Delivery date is past' since this message dint not appear while recording the CBTA scripts fails.But I need it to pass the script as it is just an warning message but not an error.

 

It would be helpful if somebody know the solution to bypass the messages.

Promote to Production - Solution Manager Implementation of Features/Services

Hi,

 

So far a single instance of SolMan 7.1 is used for maintenance, monitoring, alerting and reporting on our SAP landcsape. Business is taking an interest on using more features in SolMan to benefit in areas like BPM, Projects, Sofware Logistics, IT Services .... A roadmap is being defined and a 2-tier SolMan landscape has been put in place : DEV/TST + QAS/PRD. My question is about software logistics for deploying SolMan functionality in projects.

 

What is best-practice ?

  • consultants work in DEV using an IMG Project to isolate customizing and configuration changes between different projects ?
  • changes need to be assigned to workbench/customizing requests, linked to a project, that can be released and transported  ?

 

Other than technical basic configuration on the SolMan instances (making sure the managed systems are properly defined and RFC connected), there should not be any 'functional' configuration that needs to be redone on each SolMan system in the landscape, or ? As an example we had consultancy to set up QGM and CSOL on our DEV/TST SolMan conected to a test landscape of managed systems. Now we are ready to deploy to QAS/PRD SolMan. Our consultants tell us that only 50% of the work can be transported and 50% remains as manual configuration to be done in PRD ???

 

How do other companies deal with this ? How to avoid manual configuration on PRD to deploy SolMan functionality ?

Team Members in SOLAR01 Vs SOLAR02

Hi Solman Gurus,

We are building a fresh new BPH using an upgrade project for an existing Solution Manager implementation. My issue is that when I enter a Team Member in SOLAR01, it is not visible to me in SOLAR02. Also if I go to Test Plan creation and try to filter by Team Member, the filter does not recognize the Team members added. Now if I enter the Team Members in SOLAR02, the Test Plan filter works correctly, but the Team Members are still not visible in the Blueprint in SOLAR01.

 

Is that how it is supposed to be and what would be the best way to have the same Team Members visible in both SOLAR01 & SOLAR02 without entering them twice?

Customization Monitoring Tcodes via Solution Manager

Dear Team,

 

Is it possible to Monitor only particular T-codes via solution manager (Reports/T-codes) to Managed systems.

 

My requirement is , i am monitoring daily all servers manually like SMQ1, DB13...(around 12 servers). Is it possible to monitor the servers directly from solution manager (daily report) for managed systems.

 

EWA is works weekly, i will need to monitor only some T-codes.

 

/SDF/MON is works for ST* Tcodes and OS level only. I will need other than these T-codes.

smsy and SLD hostname different

Hi Experts,

 

We are using solution manager 7.1 and configuration is completed.

But when I checked the SMSY the SystemName entry is wrong.

SLD and LMDB are having the correct name. Due to this I am

unable to transfer the solution to SAP.

Automated BASIS checks with Solution Manager

Hi Experts,

 

I have an requirement where I need to configure automated BASIS health checks on satellite systems via Solution Manager. We have Solution Manager 7.1 SP12.

 

The daily monitoring and health checks tasks that we do are to be automated. For example

SM12 = Check locks

SM13 = Check failed updates

DB12 = Check Backup and DB logs

ST22 = Check ABAP dumps

SM21 = Check System Logs

ST02 = Check Memory and Buffers

and so on.

 

These above tasks are done manually and updated in daily report. We want this automated. What we want is that all these checks are automatically run at 10 AM daily and report is build with the information. This report also has to be sent by email.

 

Managed system configuration is already done. I do see these type of tasks listed under tcode Solman_workcenter --> System Monitoring --> Proactive Monitoring. But with that it is done manually. Also under Central System Administration when i click on Setup CSA--> and click on solution --> click on System --> i do see different BASIS, DB etc tasks listed there, but i think think that is more of documentation and manual tasks.

 

Could you please help me in this and how can i achieve this automated Basis health checks?

CTS web services for non-ABAP transports

Hello All,

 

To manage non-ABAP transports, CTS Deploy web service has to be configured.

CTS Deploy web service seems to be a Java Web service responsible for communicating with the deployment tools in non-ABAP systems.

 

My question is, CTS Deploy web service can be used for Java based transports such as SAP enterprise portal.

Does it support other kinds of transports apart from ABAP and Java based.
