Missing product information in SLD and hence in LMDB

Hello Gurus,

 

I'm trying to register a new system into Solution Manager:

Below are the relative versions:

 

1) Solution Manager 7.1 SP12

2) Target System:

     ECC 6.0 (SAP_BASIS SP 30, ST-PI SP11)

 

Updated the CR content to latest in sld (1.6.46)

 

Now, below are the steps I have taken :

1) RZ70 in managed system.

2) In SLD, the it shows the components correctly in the right hand side pane, but the installed product is missing:

3) Currently system status in managed system is showing as ECC 6.0

 

Please help me how to correctly maintain the product under Installed Products tab as highlighted above in red in sld. I believe this should be picked up automatically.

 

Also, If i need to do manual entry, what product should I select: (Sry if it may sound stupid, but Im very confused with this)

SAP ECC 6.0 or SAP ERP 6.0 ?

Facing authorization error while decommissioning of Managed System in Solman 7.1 sp12

Hello Everyone,

 

I've a requirement of decommissioning of configured Managed SAP System in solman 7.1 SP12.

I'm following below step for this:

tcode: solman_setup --> click on managed system configuration tab on left column --> choose the configured managed SAP system-->Click on Advanced options --> Decommissioning     

 

After this, I'm getting below error:

 

 

You are not authorized to execute this Guided Procedure!

Message no. CL_GPA_MESSAGE062

 

 

I've doing the above steps with solman_admin user id and given below roles to it. But still getting the error.

SolMan HANA sizing

Hi all,

 

are there any experiences with Solution Manager on HANA and sizing guidelines.

Unfortunately the sizing toolkit is no longer available in SMP - at least I couldn't find it.

 

I'm looking for sizing guidelines for the service desk functionality in SolMan. Especially how the attachments in tickets are handled by HANA. Are they treated as hybridLOBs and mainly stored on storage or constantly loaded in memory?

Hello experts,

 

     In my company we are implementing SAP Solution Manager 7.1 but one of our customers needs to see all the messages created in his comany.

 

e.g.

 

     User1 from Company1 creates a messages, after that User2 from the same company creates another message. In this company there is one user (UserKU) that needs see both messages not only messages created by his own.

 

Users create messages through SM_CRM transaction and they see these messages in the same page.

 

End users have the following roles.

Active BW content for RCA Canceled!

Hello everyones,

 

Right now we already upgrade our Solaman System from SP10 to SP 12, all the proccess was ok and now we gonna do the Basic config. steps. but in step 5. Configure Automatically the section Active BW content for RCA send a Red state and error.

 

I attached the screens, btw the user its okey because the job scheduled well but after a while gonna canceled!.

Hi everyone-

 

I am looking for whatever information I can get about the SAP concept of 'single source of truth'. I can't seem to find any documents with a clear explanation!

 

I am hoping to read up on it more and have someone confirm if the following is correct:

 

SSOT in SAP SolMan means all the documents/objects /configurations are stored in the Business Process Repository (BPR). When a project is setup and business scenario/processes/steps are added, instead of physically adding the documentation to the project the documentation is linked from the BPR, correct? This way, any updates done to that document are propagated through the SAP system to each project that has that document linked, right?
and if a project requires new information not in the BPR, the information should be put into the BPR and than linked to the project instead of adding it to the project directly. Is this correct?

We are getting EWA reports but it is in gray status and found Quality of Data in Service Data Control Center (SDCC) is missing as below

Hi All,

 

We have got below error under configuration check of Managed System Configuration.

 

Error:

 

Timezone of J2EE Engine  test-solman does not match timezone of the diag. agent

 

When we check instance.properties  and smdagent.properties, the time related parameter is not found.

 

Please advice how to solve this issue.

I have created Organizational Model / Support Team and hierarchy using Transaction code PPOMA_CRM, Like:

With This my Team is able to see following things in Workcenter:

on similar line, One of the functional Head from department (Users who are reporters) Wants to see in his workcenter:

Incidents Reported  by Me and Incidents reported By my Team.

 

Please guide how to achieve this :

Hi Experts,

 

I am doing upgrade of solution manager 7.1 sps04 to sps14 through SUM and i am at preprocessing phase and the process is running atMAIN_SHDIMP/SUBMOD_SHDIMP/SHADOW_IMPORT_INC from last 15 hours ..So please suggest should i wait more or share any corrective action to resolve this issue.

Dear all,

 

I faced with error during connection Maxdb to SolMan CCMS according sap note gide 1895715 - System Monitioring Setup for SAP CONTENT SERVER

 

All actions in db59 perfomed, all connection tests succesful.

 

Error in step "Enter System Parameters":

 

 

"Mandatory connection parameter 'DBSYS' not specified"
 

 

Please see attachment. How to resolve this issue?

Only show incidents with specific SAP component? (CRM UI)

Hello,

 

I would like to know if there is any way to realise the following scenario:

 

Users of FI and HCM are using the same business role in solman. A FI user can also view incidents with SAP component PA and an HCM user can view incidents with SAP component FI (if he wants to). Of course you can use the search criteria in CRM UI (ITSM) to filter the incidents with the non-relevant SAP component, but is there any way to restrict the access to incidents with a specific SAP component? I don't know if this is even possible. I couldn't find any authorization objects or something similar.

Solman 7.1 Mopz: "CHECK_ID_IMP_DESTINATION_PLUG" unkown

Hi experts.

 

After upgrading Solman 7.1 to SP-Level 17 everything works fine:

 

System Preperation and Basic Configuration is completely green.

 


BUT when i try to start a new transaction in Maintenacne Optimizer i get the error:

 

 

500 SAP Internal Server Error

ERROR: Syntax error in program /TMWFLOW/SAPLCONFIG_SERVICES . (termination: RABAX_STATE)

 

 

 

In ST22 i can see in a dump:

 

Syntax error in program "/TMWFLOW/SAPLCONFIG_SERVICES ".

 

The current ABAP program "CL_SOCM_IBASE_CONVERTER=======CP" had to be

terminated because it has

come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

 

 

 

The following syntax error occurred in program "/TMWFLOW/SAPLCONFIG_SERVICES "

in include "/TMWFLOW/LCONFIG_SERVICESU46 " in

line 34:

 

"Feld "CHECK_ID_IMP_DESTINATION_PLUG" unbekannt. Es existiert aber ein "

"Feld mit dem ähnlichen Namen "CHECK_ID_IMP_DESTINATION"."

So it tells me that the field CHECK_ID_IMP_DESTINATION_PLUG is unknown.. But im not able to find any helpful notes.

 

So do you have andy ideas? Thanks in advance.

Maintenance planner a stack XML

Hi,

 

I want to install an SAP ABAP system along with the required SPs in one implementation run and I try installation target using maintenance planner at apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/mp . In the maintenance planner a stack XML file with the desired SPs stack is generated but when I downloading SPs files I cant download this files:

 

Attribute Change Package 07 for ST-PI 740

file in XML: "ST-PI=====740" ST-PI740.SAR

Attribute Change Package 03 for SAP_GWFND 740

file in XML : "SAP_GWFND=740" SAP_GWFND740.SAR

 

Error Message - Access denied (R/3)

You do not permission to access this object.

 

With other files I don't have any problem with downloading.

unable to detect SMD Agents

We seem to be having issues with the SMD Agents installation, would really appreciate suggestions from the experts here.

 

 

 

Basically trying to connect the SMD agents to the EM using the cmd "smdsetup.bat hostagentconf emhost: "****" emport:"***"

 

 

Receive the error" Cannot find directory of the host agent resources".

 

 

On checking the logs from SMDSystem.0 I see the following warnings-

 

 

-Connecting to SMD server ms://******:8101/P4 failed,NAming Exception "Exception while trying to get Initial Context:there are no access points for service:P4 registered on the message server.

 

 

Has anyone seen this ?

MOpz: Target Constellation Product System Erroneously Changed

Here's one I haven't seen before. I'm preparing to apply support packs to my ERP ABAP system landscape, and in the Confirm Major Target step (step 2.2) of Maintenance Optimizer the tool tells me that it is going to change the Product System to Technical System assignments so my DEV Product System will be assigned to each of DEV, QAS, and PRD Technical Systems. By this I mean something like the following:

QASQAS
PRDPRD

 

So far so good, that is what my landscape looks like in LMDB. But, here it gets weird:

 

Target Constellation

Technical SystemProduct System
DEVDEV
QASDEV
PRDDEV

 

Why would MOpz do that? So, naturally, I went back to LMDB and carefully reviewed the product system and technical system definitions, and they all look correct. Indeed, the Initial Constellation is correct in MOpz. So why does the tool want to reassign things like this? Obviously I won't let this move forward like this, so I'm going to restart the maintenance transaction with just the one system (DEV), as for this support package application I don't even need a stack.xml (it will be done with SPAM, not SUM), I just need my files approved for download. But, I worry about the implications of this for an upgrade in the same landscape we have coming up in a few months, where obviously I will need to use SUM.

 

This isn't our first time at this particular rodeo, as we've been using MOpz for this landscape for years. However, SolMan did recently "force" me to update Note 1969109 (SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP12 - Basic functions) to the latest version (from version 15 to version 22), along with attendant many "prerequisite" Notes updated, so I wonder if something in all of that broke things.

 

This is for Solution Manager 7.1 sp12, and as mentioned with v22 of the "Basic Functions" Note for sp12. The target landscape is ERP 6.04 / NW 7.01 and I'm updating from sps13 to sps17, though that is probably irrelevant to this issue.
