How to set "Do not disturb" hours for Technical Monitoring alerts ?

Dear Experts,

 

I configured more or less working technical monitoring in Solution Manager 7.1 SPS 12.

Our SLA times are from 7 to 18h. Everywhere I had the possibility, I have put these

hours, like in Global recipients and recipients lists and notification variants...

BUT all this in vain - alerts keep coming around the clock.

PLEASE kindly let me know how to tell Solution Manager to NOT send alerts to a defined

e-mail address from 18h till 7 AM at the next morning!

SOST table MSGV2 different value

Hi Expert,


 

During our abaper do a custom program to trigger an email, we found out

table SOST and field MSGV2 is return different result in different

system.


It should be sender name instead of SMTP server name. Please refer

attachment for details. Any idea on this.

" Unable to check The Job Monitoring results in Solution Manager Workcenter"

Hi Experts,

 

Currently we are using SAP Solution Manager 7.1 Sp12, I have Configured Job Monitoring Scenario in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP12.

 

Under Technical Monitoring --> Job and BI Monitoring ( I have configured Only for ABAP Jobs). Screen Attached Fig1.

 

After Configuration when I check the results in Work Center, I am not able to get the Monitoring results,

 

When I check results in Technical Monitoring --> Job Monitoring --> Launch Job Monitor --> Below blank screen comes Fig 2.

 

Is this issue with Browser or am I missing some steps in configuration

 

Any Pointers to resolve this issue.

How to connect java system netweaver 7.3 to solman 7.1

I want to connect Java system netweaver  7.3 system to solman 7.1 to generate stack.xml file to apply patches. I am new to this, i need step by step procedure to perform this task.

SLD Forwarding Netweaver PI 7.1 to SOLMAN 7.1 SP12

Good morning,

 

currently I try to setup the SLD Data Forwarding between a PI 7.1 system and the central SOLMAN 7.1 SP12.

Forwarding is setup via Data Suppliers in PI:

Destination and password are correct and the correct rights where granted to the user. SLD Bridge is also running.

If I try to forward data by triggering RZ70 in an attached ABAP system nothing happen in the update destination (SOLMAN). The data in PI got updated correct.

I can't even provide any logs, because there non written.

 

Could it be, that both SLD's must have the same CR content Version? Didn't found any informationen regarding such prerequisites.

Or do you have any other idea or hint I could check?

We are trying to upgrade one of our systems, and for this need to use MOPZ and generate the stack.xml file.

 

I'm unable to update the LMDB with the latest remote system information

 

Im unable to access

 

http://<server-name>:8000

both these give blank screens

Due to this, we're unable to update satellite system stack levels in MOPZ, and this inturn makes it difficult to continue the upgrade of systems.

Hi All,

 

I have define action profiles & Condition for Requester & Change manager in Zmcr both are working fine.

but our client needs an email notification on action "Successfully tested" i have created action profile in  ZDHF, zmhf_actions & define conditions as E0005 but still whenever tester confirms the tests in CHARM Action-> successful tested.

Email notification for "Save and Reply" Function

Hi All,

 

In incident management, when a processor changes the status to 'customer action', the reporter gets a notification and clicks 'save and reply' to reply the processor. The status changes automatically to 'in process'. How can i initiate an email notification to the processor at that instance?

 

Please note I have configured email alert to processor at status change which works fine if the status is changed manually to 'In process" but when a reporter uses the 'save and reply function' and the status changes to 'in process', the processor does not receive an email notification.

How to add 3rd party non-SAP system to a ChaRM project?

Hi everyone,

 

how can I add a 3rd party non-SAP system to a Solution Manager SOLAR project for use with ChaRM General Changes?

 

The situation so far:

 

We are already using ChaRM for our SAP landscape successfully (with Urgent and Normal Changes).

 

Now we want to use the General Change for some of our 3rd party non-SAP applications (without transport management). I couldn't find any documentation on this topic and it is not working out of the box.

 

What I did so far:

  • in SLD configuration
    • created a new custom product/software component version in SLD
  • in transaction LMDB
    • created a new technical system,
    • created a new product system
    • created a new logical component
    • assigned all these and the custom product from sld
  • with transaction IB_GEN / IB52
    • generated new IBase component
    • and edited the description

 

In ChaRM component selection the new IBase components are visible when adding a new change AND no solar project is assigned.If I assign a project first, the components won't appear in the search help.

 

I already tried to add the new defined logical component in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN for the specific project. But I cannot find the logical component in the search dialog - most likely because it is not assigned to one of the valid SAP software product components. Also when I look for the new product (system) in SMSY I cannot find it. When I use the "chosse object" dialog and select my new "product system" there is an error message: "The product system has no valid product assignment."

 

What to do now?

  • How to adjust the system/product configuration in LMDB / SLD?
  • How to add the logical component to the SOLAR / ChaRM project in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN?
  • When added, do I have have to check the mark "relevant for changes" in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN for the logical component?

 

Any help appreciated.

Email Not Triggering in Second Time

Dear Exports,

 

 

" Release to Approve" is the Customized Action and  Related Mail Action also Created,

 

First Time " Release to Approve" Action and Related Mail Action is Working,

 

But Second time if i Select other Action Reset into "In Development " that time Release to Approve Action is working and  Email is Not Triggering ...

CSOL /TMWFLOW/CMSCONF no clients appear for some systems

Hi

 

I have just activated CSOL and Downgrade Protection in Solution Manager (7.1 SP12) and am now going into transaction /TMWFLOW/TMSCONF to activate CSOL for Development clients.

 

The problem is that some systems show clients, and some do not. Our TM and EW systems do chose clients, but our R3 systems don't (see below pic).

ZMCR & YMCR both TR Type should appear in pop-up while creating RfC

Hello ChaRM Experts

 

I have created ZMCR and did all customization in this ZMCR. Because of another retirement and workflow, I had created new TR type YMCR.

 

Now the issue is that I am not able see ZMCR in pop-up when I click on Create Request for Change. Its only showing YMCR and SMCR. Before YMCR created it was showing ZMCR and SMCR.

 

I added those transaction type in roles as well. But still ZMCR is not showing. Please let me know if you required any further details.

 

Please let me know what could be reason.

Actual Usage of RBPD

Hi Experts

 

I am new to solution manager. We want to perform RBPD for one of the project for which we don't have much business process documents. the purpose is to know the business processes by configuring RBPD.

 

Am I right in saying that RBPD configuration helps really in getting business processes along with the customization done.

If yes, the what is the purpose of uploading the SAP RBPD content from marketplace to solution manager. Cant we not get the processes by configuring RBPD?

 

Is there any step by step guide for RBPD configuration on solution manger. I tried to search but could not get the free ones.

Hello All,

 

I am trying to configure MOPZ in Solman7.1 with SPS12, i have finished System Preparation and Basic Configuration, but i am not able to see where can i configure MOPZ.  any body have any idea please share me in which phase can be it configured.

 

Normally in SM_WORKCENTER will able to find the MOPZ but when i launch workcenter i am unable to finding Change Management Tab, i have given even required authorizations.

I am running Solution Manager version 7.1 SPS 10. Entries are being written in the the  /etc/security/failedlogin file on my "managed systems". I am putting the words managed systems in quotes because these system were not set up in solution manager. They do exist in the Solution Manager SLD.

 

The Solution Manager system is attempting to use the database user to log into the "managed system" and it is failing. This is happening for several "managed systems". This was just recently detected by our security team, but I suspect this has been happening for a long time.

 

Any idea why Solution Manager is attempting to log into a sattelite server using the database account?

SAP IQ (Sybase IQ) monitoring

does anyone know how to monitor SAP IQ database in Solution Manager? (formerly Sybase IQ)

 

or do we need to use SAP Control Center which are shipped with SAP IQ?
