Error in PREP_INSTALL/RUN_RSPTBFIL_SPACE while upgrading stack

Hi Experts,

 

While upgrading our solman stack from SP04 to SP12 we are facing an issue in  PREP_INSTALL/RUN_RSPTBFIL_SPACE phase like below.

Technical Monitoring: Threshold-Alert aggregation

Hi Experts,


I am currently on Solman 7.1 SP 10. Is it possible to aggregate more than one threshold breach into an alert in technical monitoring of SAP Solman.

Meaning for example I need to send notification to a recipient only when a threshold is breached for more than one occasion for a KPI. I do not want to send a notification on first breach of threshold.

If not in SP 10, is this functionality available in SP 12 ?

Can we modify the program /TMWFLOW/SCMA_BTCH_SYNC_TEST in a way to import completed Normal Changes to multiple clients in a Test and Production System?

 

Have any of you tried importing Normal Change corrections to multiple clients in Test and Production systems in an automated way?

Information about Technical Monitoring

Dear Experts,

 

I hope this is the right section to ask. I am new to SAP and I would like to setup a Technical monitoring (in order to have CPU alerts,RAM load, File system load, Host ping, etc...). I did some research and I found some way to do this, like following this guide :

 

 


and this one :


I am currently running on SAP Solution Manager 7.1.
My first question is : Is it the right tutorial to follow ?

Then, once my Technical Monitoring will be working, I would like to display the results in a web page in order to regroup some transactions like RZ20, ST06...In fact I would like to have informations about Databases, CPU, Memory and having the ability to set my own "alerts value", like it is possible to do in RZ20 templates.
I have not found a lot of article about this, except those ones :

But a 2007 guide is a bit old, isn't it ?
And this one :
(especially the post from Arnaud LIOTTA at the bottom)
My questions are : Will I have to code to do this ? Or is there a way to do it that I don't know ?

Once again, I am new to SAP I am sorry if I am not clear about something.

Changing options of transport request via Change Request Management

Hi all

 

I have a question.

 

In our solution manager, we are using the Change request Management module.

We use it, so that if there is a problem, an functional key user can address it in a Change document and send it with a proper status to the developer.

The developer take a look at the problem, logs on to the system the change managemt document is referring to

and when the problem is solved. The developer returns the document via an action back to the functional key user via an action

And when the developer has changed the status of the document via the action,

- the status is changed,

and also the workbench transport and customizing transport which the developer had made during development are automatically sended to the

quality system.

So technically, in the background the transport is sended via STMS to the Qualitiy system.

So far so good :-)

For transports in the ECC system everything went well.

But for transports in the BW system, not everything went well. In the pop-up which arises in STMS if you want to send a transport,

for BW, often this settings have to be set. For an transport in the ECC this is not the case

 

If the transports are transported automaticcally if the user changes the actions and saves the Change document in the WEB-UI:

the options can not be set from out the web-ui in the development system. The system which sends the transports automaticaly

when solution manager give a signal to do so.

 

Our solution to achive this, so in the web-ui of solution manager, within the change documents this options can be set if the transport were ment for BW is :

- Add custom fields in the web-ui of the solution manager, which are the same as the option field of the STMS transaction

- Find an BADI / user exit? Where the data can be put into the transport request call from the solution manager to the target system  development

- And no further custom development. With this data the default SAP logic will send the transport request with the correct options to the system which must send the transport. Within the transaction STMS of that system (or the logic) it will send the transport the transport with the options from the web-ui.

 

I am new to solution manager and change request management. What do you think if you read my problem and the solution which we are trying to work out for it?

MAI Database Monitoring: How-to exclude single error message

We use technical monitoring in solution manager 7.1 SP10. I have a question to Oracle database monitoring concerning the alert 'Oracle Error Messages'. Is it possible (how?) to exclude specific error messages (-> deadlock = ORA-00060) from monitoring? In filesystem monitoring it is possible to define exclude lists. But I did not find any hint how to do that in this case.

How to see 2 year old EWA Report

I am looking for 2 year old EWA report, from now, in my Solution Manager system but can only find till last 1 year.

 

Is there any way by which I can pull such old reports?

 

Solution Manager version is 7.1 SP11.

CBTA for HTML based application

Hello.

I would like to ask you if it is possible to make CBTAscripts for HTML based application.

We are now implementing CBTA for one large customer (internet shop) who wishes to make automatic tests. Problem is, that each end-to-end process starts with generating order thru web page. I tried to make simple example (e.g. automatically find something on google), but I am unable to finish it. Could you please help me how to configure SOLMAN.

Every time I launch CBTA system freezes on this screen, and after I close Internet Explorer this next picture shows. Unlike CBTA for SAP GUI application, steps won't record.

I even tried to make custom script but I am unable to find URI with Object Spy. In official documentation is written that HTML based application can be automated via CBTA. Could you please help me or write me some clues to make this right?

How to track transports in charm which are imported before the charm implementation

Hi Friend ,

 

We are implementing charm in our landscape . With charm we can track the transports which will be imported after implementing charm.

 

But client come up with new requirement  that also track the previous transport in charm which were imported before implementing charm .

 

Guys any idea  is it feasible or not ,  and any suggestion if feasible .

 

Looking for your great view ideas and suggestions

Disable change manager & CAB field at change document status level

Dear Experts,

 

We have requirement to disable(non editable) change manager and CAB field in RFC and Change document when change document is "Successfully Tested" status.

 

Is this available in standard ChaRM functionality ?

 

We are currently on Solution manager 7.1 SP10.

Managed Object specific Templates - nalysis

We use technical monitoring in solution manager 7.1 SP10. We use custom created templates with Managed Object (MO) specific metrics/alerts.

I'm looking for a query or report to get a list of all MOs for which MO specific metircs/alerts are defined in which templates. I could not find something like that in MAI_TOOLS and MAI directory browser.

CRM doesn't find any Projects in ZMCR

Hello experts,

 

Resonantly I noticed that I can't assign any Projects to a ZMCR-Ticket. If I create a new ZMCR-Ticket and search for Projects to assign the result is NULL

I guess I have this problem since I activated the Categorization Schemas in our System for ZMCR.

Unable to recreate a communication user that was deleted from QAS

Hi

 

As part of our QAS refresh from PRD the QAS communication user that was defined in QAS was deleted.

However , I cannot find a way to recreate it.

 

We use CUA , so I cannot create a user in the child system locally, only in Solman.

What I did :

 

1. Temporarily changed the RFC to QAS in SM59 in Solman to use a privileged dialog user - so RFC will work

2. the deleted communication user is already in Solman - so I tried to redistribute it to QAS again - but could not - the user will simply not appear in QAS

3. Since we are using CUA I cannot create the user locally in QAS ( this option is disabled for me in SU01 )

 

Any ideas how I can recreate the communication user ( or create a new communication user ) in QAS ?

Sum tool pre-processing phase issue

Hi Experts,

 

We are upgrading our Solman stack from SP04 to SP12 using Sum Tool.

 

In 5.5 Pre-processing phase MAIN_SHDIMP/RUN_RSCPINTS_PUTTBREST_STD is running for a long time Approx . 5 hours.

Age analysis and Advance Benchmarking issues with SolMan 7.1 SP12

Hi Experts,

 

Infrastructure details:

SolMan 7.1 SP12

Managed system ST-PI 2008_1_700 SP10 and ST-A/PI 01R

Functionality: Business Process Analytics (Classical).

We are facing issues with Age Analysis and Advance Benchmarking charts in Analytics. Most of the key figures are Backlog type

We have setup standard Key figures with following application areas - Procurement, Sales, Finance.

 

We are getting the analytics data for Benchmark, trend analysis for all the configured Key figures. But we are getting error for some of the Key figures esp. related to Procurement and Sales areas for Analytics chart type - Age analysis and Adv Benchmarking.This feature is working fine for Finance related key figures, so the issue related to authorization is ruled out.

 

Any expert who can guide me as to why we are getting this error for some of the key figures ?

SAP NetWeaver JAVA 7.4 Extractors

Hi Experts,

 

I have a solution manager system 7.1 SP7

 

For 4 systems that are currently on NW 7.4, we are unable to get proper Early Watch Analysis report. In Extractor framework, i don't see any entry in column Extended Context for those systems. For systems on 7.3 or 7.31, i see J2EE ENGINE SERVER CORE 7.30 or 7.31 respectively. i went through notes for RCA templates but it seems they are only the corrected one's and not the whole bunch

 

Is there a way i can upload specific RCA templates for NW 7.4? or upgrade the only resort?

Solution Manager installation pre-check: Domain Controller error

Hi,

 

I'm trying to install SAP Solution Manager but get an error while executing the pre-check program. It says that the Domain-Controller could not be checked. There is no domain controller available. Why does this check fail?

 

System is: Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2, 4 GB RAM, 120 GB free HDD.

Solution Manager and Capacity Management

I have been tasked to create a document that covers Capacity Management for our SAP Systems.  Now I know that Solution Manager has been ITIL Certified Service Operations processes such as Capacity Management. I can not find a good document (doc, pdf) that describes how Solution Manager covers the subject.  I have seen a couple of powepoints that shows the various monitoring workcenters and Capacity but has someone written description. If there is someone out there that has put together a good description of Capacity Management in Solution Manager using the various workcenters that would really help in my task.
