Since "SAP PPM 6.1 fully deployed in SAP Solution Manager 7.2", does this mean that Template Management in Solman 7.2 is different from Solman 7.1? If so, how would I implement Template Management in Solman 7.2?

Solution Manager Log Files. FULL

I've installed Solution Manager 7.1
The log files becomes bigger and bigger every day and I don't have enough space in my hard-drive.
Also I can't login to my Solman because my hard drive is full already.
How can I resolve this problem?

CAN'T connect DAA to solman71
hi all,
i have a problem.
i can't connect the diagnostic agent to solman.
I have tried the smdsetup command and restart the DAA, but haven't solved the problem.

How to change the BSP Survey success message?
When the user has successfully submitted the ITSM Customer Satisfaction Survey, the system shows the success message "The Values Were Saved Successfully".
We want to change the message. It is probably some OTR element, but I can't find which.
In debugging, I see the value, but can't see where it came from in the BSP.
SAP Note 1074587 points to some OTR elements, but they are not used with the ITSM Customer Satisfaction Survey. Note 1165341 likewise.

solution manager ticketing URL publish
Hello Experts,
We have configured ITSM in our Solution Manager, and we are able to create Incidents across the systems through the URL -->
http://<fqdn>:8000/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_start/default.htm?sap-client=400&sap-sessioncmd=open.
Now we need to publish the ITSM ticketing URL publically, so that out side of our organization the ticketing URL should be accessible, so we want to publish the URL in the formof --> https://XXX.XXX.com. (https SSL configuration has been done)
I am looking help if anyone can guide me to step forward.
does any one have done such configuration ?, what exact information I will need to provide to our network team.?

i have configured SAP PPM with Integration Charm like mentioned in the following blog.
PPM Projects intergration with Change Request Management as of 7.1 SP10
The only thing which doesn't work is the timesync between the Charm Projekt and the PPM projekt. Can you give me any hints.
Report DPR_CATS_CPRT_TRANSF says ID Project with project type 000000001 does not allow confirmation for the Task.

Note: Certificates are installed on java keystore not on STRUST of ABAP.

How to skip backup during MAIN_UPTRANS/STARTSAP_PUPG Phase

We are upgrading Solution Manger 7.1 SP11 to SP14 using SUM 1.0 SP16. We encountered a step where we have to take a database backup of MaxDB, but our hosting team has taken a full system backup already instead of DB backup. Is there any specific way to skip this step as we do not have sufficient space to take a DB backup now.

DB13 and connected systems - is there a overview available?
Hey SolMan-Specialists,
is there any possibility to get an systemwide overview (report?) over all (database) connected systems with there own db13 events? We check every day all of our systems in db13 manually (are there any checkdb errors or is there any problem with archive log backup...).

Test confirmation by user
Hello,
we are using Solution Manager 7.1 for incident management.
Our current procedure looks like:
Incident --> Change Request --> Change Document
It works like our old 7.0 but we cannot get Key-Users to confirm the tests.
Currently, they can log in and view only their incidents (they see no Change Documents).
Is there any way to let the Users also confirm the tests of their change documents after the test?
The example users provided by the installation (IM_CREAT, IM_PROC....) do not provide any solution.
Any other role than we are using right now will let the users work with the change documents rather then only letting them confirm the test.

How to create CCMSBI: MONITORING DATA Extractor
Hello All,
Can somebody help me to find the right way to activate CCMSBI: MONITORING DATA extractors?
After upgrade of managed systems, CCMSBI: MONITORING DATA extractors have stopped working. The error was EFWK HK: PPMS Modelling is not valid. Check PPMS Keys. Following the OSS Note 1798842 - Inconsitent extractors return error "PPMS Modelling is not valid. Check PPMS Keys." I've deleted the failing extractors, updated the system definition in LMDB and re-run Basic configuration -> Configure Automatically -> Setup Extractor Framework and Managed system configuration -> Finalize extractors ->Extractors Setup but the CCMSBI: MONITORING DATA extractors for upgraded systems don't appear yet. Thanks to EFWK_SETUP - Technical Operations - SCN Wiki I found that their setup type is E2EREP - whatever this means - and I may have to run some other Setup configuration in order to activate them.
Any help will be appreciated.

Charm - Release for Test - automatical transport to QA
Hello,
is there a possibility, that the transport of copies from DEV to QA is automatically done, after releasing the development for test?
So if you click in Normal Change on the action "Release" that it makes the copy and also does the transport?
Or can it only be done via task list/scheduling?
Scheduling would be fine, if it can be done more often than just one day.

Solman Setup
I am for the first time setting up CCMS, EWA and Wily in my solman 7.1 sp14 system and I have a few questions which I was unable to find answer.
My landscape is pretty simple it is windows env 2012, oracle db 12 and clustered. ERP 6.0 and EP 7.0 and ofcourse this one solman system.
I am planning to setup a local SLD (means on the solman itself).
Can anyone point me in the right direction in setting up a local SLD? step-by-step would be great.

General inquiries about TREX and FIORI on SAP Solution Manager 7.2
Hello.
I'm currently planning Solution Manager upgrade project from 7.1 to 7.2. For preparation purpose, I have two short questions.
1) Is TREX mandatory for gaining the advantage of dynamic search on Process Management? I know TREX is necessary for Text searching in ITSM but not sure whether it also would need for Process Management as well.
2) Is HANA DB required for enabling full functionalities of FIORI in Solution Manager 7.2? In the overview presentation, some analytic applications are introduced in Solution Manager 7.2 but I was suddenly concerned with that if it would only work on HANA DB not the other RDBMS.

Stop Monitoring
Hi Folks,
I' d like to know how to stop the technical monitoring/templates during an scheduled outage in the system
Nowadays, for example, when a system is restarted and it is configured into Technical Monitoring a lot of notifications are created saying that the system is down.
I ran the following test and did not work, the notification did not stop creating:
Sm_workcenter
Technical Administration
Work Mode Management
Select the system and click on Work Mode Management
Selec Schedule Work Mode and configure it.
Can anyone help me?

Error in the ChaRM handling external transports
Hello experts,
We are trying to transport an external request by CHARM, but we are finding many errors.
We made the following steps:
1. we add the data and cofile files in the filesystem usr / sap / trans.
2. we add a request (A) in the ECC DEV and made import.
3. created a request (B) in the ECC DEV by CHARM.
4. encapsulate the external request (A) in the request (B) created in CHARM.
5. try to release the request B, but is occurring the error described bellow.
