SAP Solution Manager 7.2 Installation

Hello,

I am planning to install Solution Manager 7.2 system and as part of the preparation I was going through the master and install guides. After doing a lot of reading I still have some doubts

 

1) In Solution Manager 7.2,  do I have to install ABAP and JAVA stack separately? Does Solution Manager 7.2 has an option to install dual stack              

    (ABAP+JAVA)?

2)  If yes, how do I connect them?

3) Is it mandatory to configure/activate Solution Documentation? If yes, is it mandatory to install TREX?

Hi all,

 

In the tech mon workcenter,in sytem monitoring we could not see the systems, host and databases.Also it is  visible to some users and some cannot view it.Please let me know whether it is related to roles ???

Solution Manager WebUI - Home Page Blanc Areas

Hello guru's,

 

Recently we have updated our SAP Solution Manager system to the latest SP level 14 (amongst others BBPCRM from 701 0009 to 701 0014).

 

We noticed that the layout of the widgets on the Home Page now seems horizontally aligned, whilst in our production system this seems vertically aligned. In development the table cells are horizontally grouped whilst in production these are vertically grouped.

 

In the example below the home page has 4 widgets and widget D is twice the size of widgets A, B or C. In our production system widgets A to C are (vertically) grouped and the size of widget D does not affect the vertical alignment. In development widgets A and D are (horizontally) grouped thus leading to blanc areas.

I have already raised on OSS message but according to SAP this is a configuration issue and not an error. If it is indeed a configuration then the related configuration is well hidden. I have checked:

 

- The personalization and home page configuration options in the WebUI

- The general settings customizing under SAP Solution Manager -> Capabilities (Optional) -> IT Service Management -> General Settings (but there is only My Message widget customizing)

- All UI customizing under Customer Relationship Management -> UI Framework (for example Work Center, Technical Role, Navigation Bar Profile and Business Role)

 

None of these seem to contain the option to influence the Home Page widget alignment or grouping of the widgets. Has anyone encountered this issue or does anyone know which configuration SAP is talking about?

Diagnostics Agent ports required through firewalls

Hi all,

 

I have another set of systems I need to install the Diagnostics Agent onto, hosted on another set of remote servers.

 

What firewall ports need to be opened in order to facilitate the installation and managed system configuration processes?

 

I haven't been able to find a definitive listing.

 

I am assuming the following list with a system number of 00 :-

Message Server port 8101 to Solman

SLD port 50000 to Solman

sapstartsrv port 50013 to Managed System

saposcol port 1128 to Managed System

ICM http port 8000 to Managed System

 

Are there any others required?

Link customer reply to incident

Hello together,

 

The linking of a customers' reply to an existing incident is working in general (Tracking_ID is used).

 

However, when the proccessor saves an incident again with status "customer action" another e-mail is send to customer (becaus of PPF-action). Unfortunately customer replies to the first send E-mail (from first save action) is no more linked to the incident but just to the newest send notification e-mail with text out of the solution manager.

 

Is there any customizing activity we can use to allow customer replies to any sol.man. e-mail with linking to the incident? Or is this process of linking to incident only available to newest e-mails, send from sol.man.?

Error create RFC in LMDB

Hello gurus,

 

I'm facing a problem when i try to create the RFC's in LMDB from SOLMAN to a CRM system. These two system are in the same server and i already connected the CRM to the SOLMAN using the SLD (RZ70 and SLDAPICUST). I made a test to creating ABAP RFC's from SOLMAN to CRM and vice versa. But when i try to create the automatic RFC's in the LMDB (Technical Systems > Destinations) i see the below error:

 

Error during connection to system CKB / 001: Error when opening an RFC connection (CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPOCMINIT' : cmRc=17 thRc=236
Estruturação conexão à porta conv.).


If these two systems are in the same server i think this is more easy, but i can't understand why this error happen!


Could you please help me if have some configuration to do or some parameter?

SN Category not able to change in Solution Manager 7.1

Hi Experts

 

The Category field is disabled after selected and hit Enter for SN (Support Notification). This only happen after upgraded to 7.1

is there a possibility in DVM, to analyse all tables of an system?
So like the option * ?

 

I want to know from all tables, which are the biggest and so on....

BO Technical monitoring using Solution Manager 7.1

Dear All,

 

Currently we configured BO  4.1 system on solution manger 7.1 for Technical Monitoring.

 

We found a issue on enabled state of services present on  BO application.

 

consider webintelligenceprocessing server which is running on BO application and its monitored by Solman.

 

but the enabled state of the server will be red on solman if its enabled on BO application, if i disable the server then the solman enabled state turns green.

 

Please find the attachment when state of webintelligenceprocessing server is enabled.

 

Is any one faced the same issue while configuring technical monitoring.

SM_CRM / CRM_UI - Custom logo not displayed in SM_CRM

Dear friends,

 

I have a question regarding the two transactions SM_CRM and CRM_UI. For testing purposes I have created in SPRO (CRM -> UI Framework -> UI Framework Definition -> Skins and Icons -> Define Icons) the entry CUSTOM_LOGO and added a custom logo. Afterwards I've started report WCF_REFRESH_ICONS and cleared browser cache.

 

When starting transaction CRM_UI, the custom logo is displayed correctly in the upper left corner. For usability reasons I've also created transaction ZCRM_UI with SSO (shows also correctly the custom logo).

 

But: When standard transaction SM_CRM is started, the custom logo is not displayed, but the SAP logo.

 

From my point of view, I don't see any difference between SM_CRM and CRM_UI. In both transactions, the BSP application CRM_UI_START (crm_ui_start/default.htm) is called.

 

Has anyone an idea, why SM_CRM does not display the custom logo? What am I missing?

Notification Mode for Solman PC alerts

Hi Guys,

 

I am a SAP BW person and I have created a scenario in Solman Production for configuring alerts for BW Process Chains.

 

I have added all the process chains and relevant steps to be monitored for alerts. Now I am trying to setup recipient lists for the same so that any solman alert would only be sent to these people in the recipient list. But If I want to setup different notification modes for different recipient lists i.e. for one recipient list only E-mail would be the notification mode and for another recipient list, only SMS should be the notification mode, then how can this be achieved?

 

Could anyone please guide me in this aspect? Any helpful links and suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.

After stack upgrade from SP07 to SP14 solman setup shows no previous configs

Hello All

 

After we updated SOLMAN 7.1 stack from SP07 to SP14 we noticed all SOLMAN_SETUP configs no more exist under :

System preparation

Basic Configuration

 

is there any step that needs to be carried out so that the pre-update configs stays in above steps ?

I am following the follow up activities mentioned in the note 2184647

As per the note I understand only few configs are needed to be updated but in our system it shows that all configs are to be performed

E-Mail action disappeared, ChaRM

Hi Experts,

 

We are on SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP14.

 

Have configured to actions (to be processed in Dialog mode, not in automatic scheduling) - Send Email to X and Send Email to Y with schedule condition at Status - A and Status- B respectively.

 

When initially create Urgent change , and if we go to Status A/B, respective Email actions are visible, but as soon as I go in Display mode and again go in Edit mode of Urgent change, then none of actions are visible  in any of status in UI (hence not able to trigger action). So only first time when Urgent change is created, actions are visible.

 

Can any one please explain me this behavior ? and how we can rectify this.

 

This is happening for Email actions inly which is copy of already standard Email actions present, I have just change Partners present in action. Tried creating new action myself without copying from any other actions and sending email through use of Email Forms. but still issue persist.

 

What this behavior is ?

Mandatory field while filling a questionnaire is not working at CRM_UI level

Hi Experts,

 

I created a Survey in SPRO --> Customer Relationship Management --> Transactions --> Settings for Service Requests --> Questionnaires --> Define Surveys

 

While creating the Questions and Answers, I gave answer field as "Input field" and Checked the "Required Entry field" box to make the field as mandatory.

I attached this questionnaire to a Service Catalog item in CRM_UI under business roe SOLMANPRO.

 

Next, I am logging in to YSOLMANREQU to create a service order under the Service Catalog item. In the process of creating a service order, I need to fill the questionnaire.

 

While filling the questionnaire, even if I miss any value in the mandatory marked fields, I see no error. I am able to save the empty questionnaire and create a service order. This should not happen.

 

Please advice me how to make the questionnaire fields mandatory at CRM_UI level.

 

Please note: The mandatory property is working fine at SAPGUI level.

Can't find system in CSOL after refresh

After performing development system refresh i am not able to see the managed system in CSOL configuration under system change option tab.

 

Transaction : /n/TMWFLOW/CMSCONF

 

Could anyone let me know how to add development system again there since i have to activiate CSOL for managed system.

CBTA execution issue

Hello All,

 

I have completed Solman_setup for CBTA. I have maintained system data container. I have completed SUT configuration as well.

 

Now I am trying to execute CBTA test script but I am getting below issues.

I have maintained Test Profile in SUT but here I am not able to find it. I am getting an test profile error. Also Execute button is grad out. Can anyone please assist on it.

JSM with ChaRM on SPS13

Hi All,

 

I am currently Setting up JSM with Integration to ChaRM on SOLMAN SPS13. This is what I have configured so far -

 

  • ChaRM functionality configured completely.
  • SOLMAN_SETUP carried out for Job Management with ZMCR as Default.
  • Able to create Job Requests which does create a ZMCR Request for Change
  • The JSM assignment block also Shows up the Job Requests created initially.
  • I also see this JR link in the ZMAD Change document.
  • However, JR assignment block in ZMAD Change document doesn't have the usual create etc Buttons for Job creation, even though the Change document Status is "in process"
  • I can only see the Central Processing scheduling button, which is not useful to me.

 

Could someone be so Kind to check this and let me know what I am missing in the configuration or is this is a bug?

Customization of Execution Report in CBTA

Hi,

 

I'm trying to customize CBTA execution reports.

 

Default we get a HTML report after the execution in a pre defined format given by SAP. Is there any way through which we can customize these reports like we can add images, logo or remove and add data?

 

Through local temp files that gets created after execution I'm able to modify single HTML report for one execution by modifying LOG.XLST and ReportLog.XML files , is there any way through which we can make changes globally , so that all the reports getting generated automatically after execution will be in desired format.
