What should be the flow?
Mean to say what should be the flow of lead if he knows or how to forward to the SAP team. If SAP team knows the solution how it should be communicated and way of closer of incident.
How it can be raised to SAP by BASIS team?

I'm using Solman 7.1 in CHARM.
I configured sending mail to Change Manager. Everything is fine.
But there is a second requirement: I want so sent am E-Mail to all members of an organization for example to the organization ChangeAdvisoryBoard.
CAB is created in BP as organization and in orgscheme (PPOMA_CRM) employees are assigned to the CAB.
Is there any possibility to implement it without coding?

is there a possibility, to get a notification if an alerts gets assigned to an user?
So we receive an alert and get a notification on this.
On of our team picks the alert and assigns it to himself.
Now all other members of the team should get informed, that somebody is already working on the ticket.

We have a running Solman 7.1 SP13 servicedesk and I have set up the SAP Collaboration sleev as descriped in the setup guide.
I did all the S-user assignments in AISUSER needed, checked the RFC's, auth on SMP and tryed all the surgestions in the below bloks.

We have Technical Monitoring running since a couple of weeks. I have noticed, that it gives quite often fake messages, that different
systems are unavailable, while the systems themselves enjoy perfect health! In order to rectify this problem, I have followed the
advice, that Ruth on this forum gave me: I have changed the availability metric to Best rated among n measurements and then
I have specified to take 15 bad measurements, before an alert is being triggered.
I can confirm that this is really working, as my colleague yesterday has quickly restarted a system for a parameter change, and no
alerts for that system were triggered!
Though I wanted to change another monitoring metric for the production systems, and just while applying the monitoring templates,
a fake alert for the production ERP system came, saying that it is unavailable !! Could you kindly advise on how to prevent this from
happening, or it is quite normal for this to happen when applying templates ?
And now one more question - since I configured technical monitoring, the Solution Manager system has become much busier than
before - often nearly all the dialog processes are used, I have already increased their number twice. There are also 10-15 dumps
per day, that various reports are crashing, because the maximum run time has been exceeded. Why is this happening, there are no
dialog users using the system besides me, and I am not getting dumps. Also what, is the recommended setting for rdisp/max_wprun_time ?
Today I have set it to 1800, do you think that it is enough ? Currently there are 9 dialog processes. Our Solution Manager is monitoring
only 13 systems - 7 ABAP and 6 Java.

I am upgrading Solution Mananger 7.1 SPS 10 to SPS 11, as current SPA level is SPS 10 i want to go for SPS11, i have generated stack.xml file from service market place by selecting the current and target sps level want to upgrade, and in SUM tool i have selected second option as shown in the scteenshot. Please Help me to resolve this issue.

Hoping someone can give me an idea with this one.
I'm working on a clients Solution Manager. Version 7.1 SP4 (On Windows/SQL). I'm patching it up to SP12.
I've done the MOPZ and now I'm trying to download the files via download manager. I started the download a copuple of hours ago and have come back to it to find 12% of the files have downloaded, with the other 88% "partially downloaded".
When I retry them I see:
Request failed: Exception: Connection to http://service.sap.com:80 refused; Class: class org.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException
The S-User being used does have authorisation to "Software Download".
The server does go through proxy but it works for some files and not others. So I don't think it can be that.
I've tried changing the URL in download manager to https://websmp208.sap-ag.de/ rather than https://service.sap.com
Nothing is working.
I don't have access to the firewall as this is not my server.
Why would it work for some of the files and not others? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ChaRM Experts ... I am hoping you can shed some light on whether Retrofit would be better than how we're doing things now ...
Please bear with me while I explain our current landscape. I will use ECC as my example, but we are using individual projects in ChaRM for our different technologies (CRM, PI, GRC, etc).
We use two landscapes for our monthly releases. Our enhancements start in our project support landscape, which is configured like this:
DEV --> QAS --> PPD
We do development & configuration and unit testing in DEV (using ToCs) using Normal ChaRM documents, and then release the transport to QA for our UAT. Once UAT is completed and approved, we move the corresponding ChaRM & transports into PreProd. Here we do regression testing and validations. At this point, we approve our ChaRM documents to "In Cutover" status.
This is where it gets messy ... from here, we create an Urgent ChaRM document for deployment to PRD, which is in our Production Support landscape, shown here:
DEP --> QEP --> EEP
In the Urgent ChaRM document, a developer creates a workbench, customizing and a configuration transport. Then the developer "bundles" all of the workbench objects from the transports in the Normal ChaRMs from the project landscape into the workbench transport in the new Urgent ChaRM in the Production Support Landscape. The same process is done for the customizing and configuration objects, respectively.
This works most of the time, but we have run into unexpected object conflicts when doing the "bundling." This can take a long time to find the culprits, especially when there are 60 or 70 transports in the Normal ChaRM documents from the Project Support Landscape. It is a tedious task, but when it works, the best case scenario is that we have one Urgent ChaRM to move forward into PRD for the release. Sometimes we end up with more, but typically we are able to keep it under 5 Urgent ChaRM documents.
One of my concerns with this method is that we do validations in PPD, and then move the changes into PRD using a different type of ChaRM. I feel this is a risk, but this is what SAP recommended.
Another concern is the traceability of the objects back to their original transports. There are two aspects to this. First, our developers would need access to some sensitive transactions in PRD in order to verify the objects, as there would be no way to "see" their transports in PRD. Second, auditing by object may be a painful process. If we're asked about specific transports in the Project Support landscape, there is not a 1-for-1 transport relationship in PRD.
So, with that background, would retrofit be a viable method of creating 1-for-1 ChaRM documents and transports in the Production Support landscape, so we do not lose that relationship? Would it even make sense to do this? Does staying with the "bundling" process in Urgent ChaRM documents make more sense?
I do see where retrofit could be a benefit in the Production Support landscape, in that if we have any urgent break-fixes, we can manage object conflicts under development in the Project Support landscape.
I hope somebody here has dealt with this, or a similar, situation.

Now, we have done all the connections between solution manager and system under test including the following:
1. Users with the necessary authorizations
2. RFC Connections.
The system connections are okay as per the

Hi,
We are on Solution Manager 7.1 SP12.
We have Development and Production systems for Solman.
CRM Web Client UI is running really well in Development (quick loading).
However, Production is running extremely slow...nearly to the point where it's unusable.
As a comparison:
Development takes a few seconds to log in to CRM Web Client UI
Production takes nearly a minute.
Any suggestions on what this may be and how to resolve?

While integration of SolMan & CMDB in solman_setup step 4, it check the connectivity from SolMan to CMDB & vice versa. The connection test from SolMan to CMDB is successful, but the "Check connectivity from CMDB to SolMan" is failed. In the log it shows following error description.

I want to upgrade our BPC/BI system.
Now our system is running on NW 7.01 - BI_CONT 7.05 - SAP CPM BPC ABAP 7.5 .
I've look for technical systems in LMDB and the verification is okey.
But in LMDB, It calculates the target as NW 7.4 with BI_CONT 7.57 but still BPC 7.5
I've looked for BPC 10 in Add-on step but there is no BPC 10.
I've added PDF file for all the steps that I select in MOPZ. Yandex.Disk
Do you have any idea about it?

In our charm setup we have a requirement of sending email to distribution list .For example :CAB Email should go to multiple persons to make it gets approved in case of anyone absence
TO complete this setup , i have created outlook distribution list and added members to the DL using outlook
Also added the DL Email list to SU01 and BP of the user id .
But the email is not delievered and got error as "Invalid receipient" .
Please let me know if anyother process to get the email for mutilple persons

We' re currently running SAP SOLMAN for our VAR customers. We also run SAP CRM ITSM for our Non-VAR customers (Outsourcing customers).
Is it appropriate to run our VAR custmers and Non-VAR customers in one SOLMAN system?
(We have common customers in SOLMAN and CRM)
If it is appropriate; how should i handle incident process for common customers (VAR and Non-VAR)?
(It is offered to use different transaction types: SMIN and SMIV for different scenarios by SAP. But we have one customer for both scenarios)
