ChaRM: Task list hidden in scheduler mode

Hi all,

 

I´m working on SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP10.

 

I´m trying to configure ChaRM in development system. From transaction SCMA, I can see in the right side both monthly and diary overview, and in the left area, the task list for the maintenance cycle is displayed.

My problem is that, when click on "Return to scheduling", the task list is hidden.

 

What can I do to show the task list in scheduling mode?

 

Please, ask me for any additional information you need.

Can't see own user in ppoma_crm

Hello All,

 

here's my problem:

 

I created a test user in our SolMan 7.1 SP12, whom I assigned to a customer, but in the e-Mail address field I introduced my own mail address, because I wanted to see how the system generated notifications look like. The test user was a copy of a user from the customer we have problems with, the only difference is the mail address.

Now if I open sm_crm SolMan tells me I'm not assigned to any business partner and no support group, therefore I have no view with the incidents. I can see and modify the incidents but only when I search them.

I can't find my own user in the transaction BP, only the test user who has as description my name. In transaction ppoma_crm test user is assigned to the places where my user was.

In SU01 both users were visible and had different roles and entries in the relevant fields. I deleted the test user but this action didn't solve the issue.

How to connect Dialog Instance with Solution Manager 7.1?

Hello,

 

Our PRD system (ABAP only) has a CI + 4 dialog instances (each dialog instance is installed on a separate host) .

In other words, we have one SID for 5 different instances (1 CI + 4 dialog instances) on 5 different servers.

 

I have already executed SOLMAN_SETUP --> "Managed Systems Configuration" for the CI and installed the Diagnostics Agent (SMD Agent) on all 5 hosts.

 

Now I would like to connect each dialog instance with the Solution Manager in order to monitor them, too.

Could you please help me with the steps, which should be done?

No SAP Systems Option in 70SWPM10SP07_4-20009611 in SAP Solution Manager 7.1

Hi there ,

I am getting some issue while installing Sap Solution Manager 7.1 as ms sql ,

There is no sap System option in SWPM .

I installed 70SWPM10SP07_4-20009611 swpm.

Hi Guys,

 

 

I am working with a 7.1 SP06 Solution Manager.

My problem is, many times when i call SOLMAN_SETUP i have issues loading the roadmap menu..you know the one upside on every page...

After reloading the transaction and the page many times, like 7-8 times usually the bar appears normally and i can work with it.

I know i can use an extra parameter in the URL (&sap-accessibility=X) to have the old design and skip the flash content, but i would like to rather see whats the issue here before just skip it.

Any idea where i can start the investigation? Or did anybody had this issue or similar before?

 

Just clarify...this is the roadmap menu which i am speaking of:

Follow up transaction from SMIN to SDCR

Hi All,

 

In one of client, they are still using old transactions (SDCR, ZDCR) for ChaRM while they are using new transaction (SMIN, ZMIN) for Incident Management. whether we can create change request (SDCR, ZDCR) from the Incident  (SMIN, ZMIN)? If so, any config document available?

Hi Experts,

 

I am trying to connect diagnostic agent to solman.

I run the command

 

./smdsetup.sh managingconf hostname:'sap.psamer.ps.is.com' port:'8040' user:'SMD_AGT' pwd:'pass'

 

i waited for 1 days but didnt connected

in the logs i Found

 

Warning Thread.stop() called using java.lang.ThreadDeath in com.sap.engine.services.rmi_p4.P4ObjectBrokerClientImpl.close()

 

 

User Id is correct  password is also correct and i gave sap all authorization to SMD_AGT User .

 

 

Earlier agent was connect .

 

Dont know what happed to in last few days .

Upgrade SAP Solution Manager 7.01 SP26

Hi Sappers,

 

Does anyone know if the upgrade of SAP Solution Manager 7.01 SP26 to SAP Solution Manager 7.1 is still supported?

And if so, do I have to upgrade first to SSM 7.1 SR1 then upgrade to SR2 and final to SP12 ?

 

I am asking this because someone ask me if this is possible, but the General Upgrade Note for SAP Solution Manager 1462137 is not available anymore.

How to add additional fields to the Schema Category

Hi,

 

For the Categorization Schema in default Level 1 to Level 4 are already exists. If i want to create up to Level 7 how to proceed on this.

 

As per standard existsing are up to Level4 : ABAP Run time Error, now i want to add another 3 more fileds under ABAP Run Time Error .

 

I have tried to add levels in the schema and activated as like below but it is not reflecting.

 

Please Suggest how to do this, is there any additional fileds to be activated for this .

SLA ITSM : Email Notif from Processor to Upper Level (4th Level)

Hi All,

 

 

 

we have SLA Case, customer needs escalation mechanism when incident has

MPT/IRT Exceeded, manager (Level upper) of message processor has email

notification and got Incident Documents,

 

here our Support Desk Org Struct (PPOMA_CRM):

 

Level 4 (Head of Branch)

-----> Level 1 (Message Processor)

 

based on Org Structure, our client need email notification and Incident

Document when MPT/IRT has exceeded ,so Level 2 get email & incident doc

automatically.

 

our current situation : we have configure PPF (SPPFCADM and SPPFCDETCRM) to define email notification, but only

sent to Requester and Message Processor when MPT/IRT Exceeded.

 

so, any advise ? if SAP ITSM does not support this mechanism, please

An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 3 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: ABAP processes of instance NSP/DVEBMGS00 [ABAP: UNKNOWN] did not start after 10:10 minutes. Giving up.). You can now:

  • Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
  • Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
  • Stop the option and continue with it later.

Technical Monitoring - Notification on recovery

Hi experts,

 

I am confused.

I've implemented changes based on note 1774582, which means that I will receive also a notification on the recovery of an alert (so at switching back to green).

 

However, it is strange in our system.

I receive an alert (e.g. red) and when it is gettin recovered I receive exactly the same mail again, which says again the it is red.

What is the sense behind?

 

In my opinion the subject should be like "Recovery: <alert text>"

 

Any ideas or is my understanding wrong?

SAP BOE tickets in SOLMAN Service Desk

Hello,

 

  I have connected a BOE 4.0 system to our SOLMAN 7.1, and now I want to be able to open incident messages for it in the Service Desk. I registered the system in the SLD, and a technical system of type Business Objects Cluster was automatically created in the LMDB. I have also done the managed system configuration, and I have a assigned a product system to it. So it now appears in the IBase. I have assigned this system to a key user, adding an entry <System_ID> <Installation nº> <Client> in the Identification tab, as I do for the rest of systems (ABAP, Java, ....), using the Identification field that appears in the IBase. But when I create a new message, the system does not appear in the Configuration Item selection field. Has anybody done it? Is it necessary to do something else in this case?

Always green status of transported request in Tasklist

Hi Experts,

I have tested Tasklist functionalities. I try to simulate error in workbench transport and then I was watching what happens in tasklist...well nothing. IT operator has to have central view of transported requests and their statuses, but I thing tasklist doesn't work correctly.

 

I was suprised, that error request transported via tasklist to production was processed without error, I mean green status, but in transport history i see error (rc 8).

Why is status still green?

How can I work with tasklist correctly?

If I don't check transport history manually and follow normal change workflow, I try to set status "Set Production Status". Control check doesn't permit this step, but without reason. It is confusing.

Question on technical monitoring of jobs

Dear Experts,

 

I've FINALLY managed it to get technical monitoring more or less working...

We found out, that there are some failing jobs in the production system and

no alerts from monitoring were issued. A day or two later, an alert finally came,

but it was basically saying, that a specified threshold for the number of failing

jobs has been exceeded.

Fine, but this is not what I have quite expected. For me, a good job monitoring,

especially on a production system would be, that as soon as a job fails, there

should be an alert, saying WHICH job exactly failed, not just a common message

like "Something failed! Go to SM37 and found out what by yourself!"

So, I would kindly ask you to advise how can I configure the jobs monitoring, so

that it would correspond to my expectations.

4.0B systems are not displaying in managed system configuration.

 

RZ70 >> entries pointing to Solman.

 

Any inputs please, 

 

Any SAP Note that I have to apply ?

 

Is it possible to bring 4.0B systems to Solution Manager and for ChaRM ?

Adding of Additional Fileds below solution Category in ITSM

Hi,

 

We have a requirement to Adding Additional Fileds under solution category related to the entities exists in the solution category.

 

Solution Category.JPG

 

For every entry in solution category, exists other 4 - 5 entries related to that category, and we need to add that entries below to the solution category as like MLC categorization.

 

This is an additional requirement.

 

Please suggest is there any way for this.

Phone Call Alert with Technical System Monitoring

Hello,

 

We are using SAP solution manager to perform system monitoring. The system is set to give us regular dashboard alerts, and emails for a given level of criticality. Has anyone used this system to issue an alert over the phone? I do not mean an SMS message, but an actual call placed to an on-call individual for the most critical alerts.

If you have seen this done, please share how you have seen it handled.
