Communication channels in error not displayed

Dear Guru's,

I'm facing - again! - an issue with the PI monitoring part of technical monitoring within Solution Manager.

In below overview you see only a grey item displayed for channels, but in fact there are 3 channels in status error in the monitored system.

This functionality worked in the past, but don't know what could have been changed, to disable this metric.

When I jump to the communication channel monitor, I see an exclamation mark next to the refresh status:

When selecting it, I get the screen below, which states that the metric is deactivated

Are the erroneous communication channels not being displayed because this deactivated metric? And if so, how can I activate it again?
