SMP 7.1 - SP6 (email with link to CHARM Object) ??

here is my Q:

In 7.0 (SolMan) SAP supported "Send Object with Note" functionality where the email was sent manually with a link to the object and the recipient was able to click on the link (delivered via email) which directed him/her to the CHARM object (CR, NC, UC).

Once the recipient clicked on the link, the CHARM object would open and the recipient could then perform any activity such as “Approve, Pass NC to Test, Successfully Tested”, etc without having to logon to SMP via GUI.

How is functionality supported in SolMan 7.1 ?

i am trying to configure the functionality in SMP 7.1 (SP6) where the recipient can receive an email with the link to the object and on click on the link the recipient can open and perform actions on the object.

i have gone over various threads on CHARM 7.1 email functionality but have found anything related.
