SAP Software Provisioning Manager - Solaris Sparc

Hello,

 

I have separate DB and I need to install Diagnostic agent on this host. Its Solaris Sparc 64 bits. Problem is when SWPM is asking me for kernel DVD, because I dont know which want I can put there. Where I can get this DVD in suitable format? I need to have prepared it for maintenance window, because I have very limited access to VNC session there, So I cannot try it in advance. Just package number is enough. Thank you very much who has experience with this.


Clarification needed for Recommended approach on SMD agent registration

Dear support.

 

since smd agent introduced, We are following SMD agent SLD registration strategy, we could say number of places sap mentioned SLD registration as the recommended approach, this approach is better, it saves lots of our time on maintenance.

But recently , we got introduced to SMD agent 7.30 SP3 installation guide, its mentioned SMD agent direct registration is the best option,

My client requirement is Transports needs be to route through Solution Manager ,we have Development & Quality & Production Servers.

 

I am having Solution Manager 7.1 .

 

Please suggest how will route the Transports from Solution Manager and provide any one having the documentation & please letme know how much time it will take the configuration.

BPMon via SAP SolMan - Threshold colums missing for monitoring objects

Hello together,

 

I am working on a project depending on business process monitoring with SAP Solution manager.

The target is to monitor partitcular steps of the order to chash process.

 

Right now we have configured a solution and all necessary components for connecting our managed system.

We tried also to configure our first alerts.

 

Therefore we used the application monitor "application monitor ERP SD" and the object KPSD000100.

On this object there are different kind of key figures available like KPSD000105.

 

At the moment we have the problem that we can not define threshold values for the seperate key figures. The colums for Red and Yellow alerts are not there:

We used the SAP SetupGuide. And normal it should be look like this:

Does anybody know what the problem is and what we have to do to get the possiblity to define threshold for the alerts?

Serive Message are not displayed in CRM UI

Hi All,

 

When i create service message from solman or satelite system through create help --> Create Support Message, im not able to see the message in CRM UI. But i can see the message in CRM_DNO_MONITOR.

 

Please suggest how to push the messages to CRM UI.

Status was reset by system after CR content update

Hi Guru's,

 

I am facing this issue in solman 7.1 sap basis patch level 12.

When createing new mantanance optimizer after selecting the solution and system i am getting the warning as

Status was reset by system

 

Enable/Disable Project SelectionSOCM_ACTION_LOG097

 

Diagnosis

 

Inconsistency when setting the document status. The status was reset. Resolve
the error described in the error or warning message.

 

System Response

 

The operation has been cancelled.

 

Procedure

 

Resolve the error described in the detailed error message.

 

and doesnot go further .Prior to this I was getting the landscape verification not completed warning.For solving the landscape verification warning i applied latest CR content for SLD.and landscape verification went right.now when i am trying to create maintanance optimizer.i am getting this warning Status was reset by system.

 

I went thru blogs and forums and came across snote 1296589 and did as per the snote but the issue is still the same.Please can anyone help me in this as my upgrade is jeopardy.

Hiperlink in CRM UI when pressing F2

Hi Colleagues,

 

We have a CRM 7.0 EhP1 and when pressing F2, the hiperlink to create a service desk message in solution manager is missing.

CRM is connected to solution manager and table BCOS_CUST is configured. Creating a message in CRM GUI menu is working fine.

 

Do we have to configure something else in CRM to enable the link? Do we have to actívate any EhP switch?

I've seen in other CRM installation the link enabled. Solution Manager itself has the link in same view.

Oracle 1123 Installation Error Solution Manager 7.1 (RHEL 6.4)

Hi,

 

I am facing an issue with Oracle on the Solution Manager 7.1 installation. The error message given below generated immediately on initiating ./RUNINSTALLER. As per the message, 'bin' directory doesn't contain 'oracle' executable. On verifying it is found that there is no 'bin' directory. Request your advice.

Oracle 11.2.3

Redhat Linux 6.4

I have defined Approval Determination procedure in my customizing.

 

I would like to know how populate the approver's partner ID in Partner field of approver area.

 

To my understanding we need to link the partner function and business partner to get this field populated.

Hello

 

I'm trying to add a new system in my Solution Manager through SMSY, but I cant found it in the list of systems in the Configuration Assistant (picture) Do I have to include the system manually before I run the assistant? If yes, how do I have to proceed?

SUM cannot authenticate with non adm user

I am planning to use SUM for patching my newly installed Solman 7.1 system to SP08. However SUM requires one logs in as <sid>adm user to continue, unfortunately we cannot user <sid>adm to login directly, we always have to "sudo su - <sid>adm". Direct login with <sid>adm or ora<sid> users is not allowed in our environment due to security restrictions and audit requirements.

 

I did not find anything in the SUM guide regarding "sudo" option.

 

Here is the normal process we use to login:

 

1- Putty in with regular user account

2- sudo su - <sid>adm

3- start/stop SAP with <sid>adm user etc.

 

I was also wondering if there is any syntax available for STARTUP process similar to one in sapinst where it may let you start it with "-nogui SAPINST_REMOTE_ACCESS_USER=jxxxxx" option

LMDB synchorizine to SLD take a long time

Hi Experts!

 

I know this problem is quite common in scn but I can't find the resolution for my problem.

My SolMan 7.1 has been up and running for a year and yesterday, I add a GRC instance and an enterprise portal instance to SLD.

 

In my understanding, job  SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001 is used to synchronize SLD and LMDB.

in SM37 this job has run for more that 20.000 sec and still running. in SM50 the job is still working fine ( not stall ).

 

I've checked LMDB setup in solman_setup and incremental is active (in SM37 also run every 10 minutes) but I was surprised that there are 4 million pending changes! I don't think adding 2 instance would make 4 million changes

I've checked the change log, this 4 million changes decrease 300 every 1 minute ( that's why SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001 is still running until now ).

Does anyone has idea why my SolMan suddenly has 4 million pending changes and works really slow? Can I do something to accelerate the job so 4 million changes can be done faster? If LMDB is not synchronize with SLD, I can't fetch the data for SMSY.

HP Service Manager and SolMan 7.1 integration

Hello

 

I want to integrate HP Service Manager's Service Desk into our SolMan 7.1 SR1 service desk but I couldn't find proper guides to do it. Anyone got experience about that topic?

 

What I want is, customer will create a ticket via HP SM and then SM will forward it to our Solman service desk.

Error in "Create Hierarchy for Material Products" Solman 7.1 SP7

Hello All,

 

While performing the Basic configuration for our Solman system, I encountered error in the step "Create IBase Components for LMDB Systems".

 

I checked the SAP notes 1771809 & 1741109 and tried to perform the step "Create Hierarchy for Material Products"  from Configure Automatically of IT Service Management.

 

When I execute this step, I am getting the following error, "Deletion without archiving is not allowed in the productive client". I am not able to get any more info on this log and the program terminates with this error.

 

Could you please help me with this issue?

Issues during consistency check in Project

Hi All,

 

We are working on Solman 7.1 SP07 and we have successfully configured Charm in Solman DEV system. Now, we are in QA solman system and as part of master data setup, i have created maintenance project and activated charm.

 

When i do consistency check i am getting below errors:

 

- No domain for system EZA

- Message from function module /TMWFLOW/CALC_SINGLE_TRACK: No domain controller for EZA

 

and further when i check shipment routes in systems tab, i get below error:

 

"Incorrect RFC connection to domain controller". I have checked the RFC connection from QS2 to EZA and all of them including 000 are working fine. Also, the domain links are properly established between QS2 system and EZa system.

 

Any clues on what is missing.

 

Note: QS2 is my Solman QA system and EZA is the satellite system

 

Appreciate your quick help.
