Hi All,
We upgrade to SP10 from SP5 and ever since the new version we had issues with the Approval of Change Requests. I configured 2 options.
Option 1 - Just Change manager approval,
- by using the IT0000003 Approval Status Prof.
- I created 1 Step
- and in the Rule Modeler Profile I assigned AI_CM_AP_PROC (because it is just one step - not sure if my logic is right here) in the "assign Approval Steps".
- Then in the Approval Determination I selected the "Approval Procedure by Default" option
Option 2 - I setup with Change manager and Developer Approval
- Still using IT000003 Approval Status Prof.
- I created 2 steps
- In the Rule Modeler Profile I assigned AI_CM_AP_STEP in the "Assign Approval Steps".
- Then in the Approval Determination I selected the "Approval Procedure by Default" option again.
So when a call is created I can take it from incident to Change Request and fill everything in and approve it but the status of the Change Request remains "to be approved" and I tried to approve it with both options. I even tried rejecting it and nothing changes. I just get a message the change has been successfully changed and the status remains "to be approved".
Then a Second question. I have a lot of authorisations so I can fill in the detail on the Change Request screen, but our Integration manager and consultants could always fill in the detail as well. Ever since the upgrade the Project field is grey'd out and they are unable to insert something in the Scope assignment block.
Can you please assist?
Kind Regards,
Francois Crous
