Approval on the Service Request in ITSM

Dears,

 

We have a case here, we are going to implement the SAP Solution Manager 7.1 ITSM, one of the Business Processes is the Service Request, but they want to have an approval procedure for a certain SR.

 

 

Example: an employee submit for a SR requesting a new Laptop, now after the SR received in the IT Helpdesk, he will check the request and get the employee line manager approval before he proceed to fulfill the request.

 

 

How this can be done in the SR in ITSM ? Can we utilize the Checklist here? and if so can i assign a Task within this Checklist to the Employee Line
Manager who is out of the Organizational Model ?
