Hello
I would like to ask if someone has experience in the following scenario.
The complete landscape including satellite systems and Solution Manager 7.1 need to be moved to a new CED. A migration to a new OS (from AIX to Linux ) of all the systems is planned, as well as a change of the domain. It is not sure if the host names will remain the same, but the domain change will impact on the FQN of the nodes.
My question is if it makes sense to migrate the Solution Manager, considering that there are a number of active functionalities like BP Monitor, Technical Monitoring, DVM, EWA, MOPZ , CDMC , and whatever else can be activated, with exception of Charm and Helpdesk... There are at least 18 systems connected which use those functionalities.
My feeling is that after migration of Solution Manager and Satellite, everything will need to be reconfigured.
Did anyone face this kind of scenario? Is it simpler and cheaper to install from scratch and replicate any configuration, or migrate and correct what is no more working?
Thanks a lot for any contribute
