enhance CRM UI search with custom fields

Hi all,

I've read lots of threads on SCN dealing with the enhancement of the CRM UI with custom fields.

In the meantime I already managed it that in ITSM information from an append structure on CRMD_ORDERADM_H is displayed.

Now I would like to use these fields also in the advanced search. Via configuration of the UI component I get the fields displayed in the selection screen but so far whenever I put a value into it and press the search button I receive no result.

I've read about CRMC_REPDY, enhancing query structures like CRMST_QUERY_1ORDER_BTIL an badi implementations..

However, could anyone please explain the steps that need to be performed?
